Did someone pay for Tito's ticket? Maybe Andrew charged him 10$ and put a seat in the mens room for him where he could still hear the music...  GO TITO!!!

day 2 was magnificent! but let me start with day 1.

Talon is just amazing---soooooooo much more comfortable on stage than at Firefest. An untapped talent in that bunch for sure. AND soooooooooooo much better with Eric!!!!! I got lots of pics and some video. He had some troubled with the mass quantity of plugs throughout a good part of the set. Talon was very gracious and repeatedly referred to E by name---congrats E! I think he is playing today as an added bonus with a different artist!!! woot!!! more later...

We sold lots and lots and LOTS of tshirts and cds. What a privilege to do that for you, Drew. We had the best seats in the house. We saw EVERYONE-not just he rockers. The fans are fabulous. We talked and laughed and shared R&R love from 11am-1:30am. Thanks Drew.
:)

Yes, Tito was there night one. Thanks for making that effort, buddy. I hate to rat you out but you are adorable--I will cherish my sweet hug for a long time. You have such a cute smile and fun spirit about you.

Ok--wandering back from randomness I continue... Top impression for Friday night was Rob Lamonthe. ( sp) wow. that voice. I've definitely got to catch up on that.

I missed Farcry because the venue couldn't get all the furniture to us timely to set up the merch booth. Your fans raved about you to us. thanks to them for spending time with us at the booth. We enjoyed getting to know you. 8)

ROCK SUGAR. yup. they certainly are. Johnny Five (5) is absolute sweetness and what a talent for a younger one. Alex is apparently the drummer diva-but it's ok. he is massively montrous on the set. He argued with the equipment for long enough that they had to cut one song. Chuck is delightful. I didn't get to fully appreciate his talent at Firefest because I was way on the other side of the stage but he tears it up. He threw 2 picks at me--which I missed--how uncharacteristic for me!!!- but I got the last one. Jess Harnell. my my my. I had to turn around several times because I am a married woman. He is pushing unmatched as a frontman. That set was so fun--we sang danced, laughed--an 80s music party!

gotta push Linda out the door so she doesn't miss her flight. brb...

The POL songs they played are

Sound of Home
It's Criminal
She's Gone
Unbreakable
Heaven on Earth
The Gift of Song

and one more I cant remember of the top of my head.

Hearing Oceans Between Us was awesome, hope they keep that one in the set.

JP also mentioned after the next POL record which he told me would be released next spring, he wants to take the POL on the road across the country and play anywhere.

Thanks Sean and LtVanish. I can't believe they played Oceans... that's unbelievable. One of my favorite Survivor tunes of all time. Too bad Jimi presumably won't bust that one out today. That's a solid PoL setlist, though I'd sub Courage to Love Somebody in for Gift of Song. Heaven on Earth musta been killer live, I love that intro.

Man, POL nationwide tour would be great.

interesting setlist, but I'd have to say I'm pretty disappointed that 40% of the set was Survivor. Nothing wrong with Survivor (and honestly I prefer Survivor to POL), but it's not a Survivor concert. Granted, it's Peterik's band, and he can play what he wants, but I'm surprised that much Survivor would be played--especially with Jimi Jamison playing the next day. It's not like POL has a following outside of the diehards, so they SHOULD be able to play whatever they want since there is no "hit single", and they have enough material to play a 90% POL set with maybe one or two other Peterik songs thrown in. Very, very strange...

Either way, I'm really hoping a video of Oceans surfaces. Not sure if that one has EVER been played live before. If it was played live at all, it was a LONG time ago, and the only recordings I have seen from the WSC tour didn't have it. That would limit to the few (if any??) Too Hot To Sleep shows or a rare JJ-solo performance in the early 90s. Very confident that Survivor never played it live in the Bickler-era of the 90s or the post-2000 JJ-era.

day 1 goodbye thrill played a nice set, i dont know much about them.rock sugar acouctic was interesting/good
rob lamothe was amaziing(only complaint was short set/no riverdogs) but im a huge rob/riverdogs fan so i could have seen a 2 hour set and been happy
rob gave me a shout out from the stage as his facebook friend very cool.
cant say much about the rest of the nights acts, we were partying a little hard hangin up in the vip room which was open to everyone that night
got to finally meet rob, zander his son and doug who was sitting in with rob, the rock sugar guys were there meeting everyone they have a nice buzz and seem to have a lot of intrest from the people, caught a little of alias and mecca but not enough to review. the guys from crown of thorns showed up and were great. heared that some of the guys from danger danger and winger hung at the hotel bar closed it down and proceeded to the lobby with a coller and some acoustic guitars until 5 but sadly we partook in too much cheer from 6 to 1 and missed it.
day 2 nice sets from far cry and talon.rock sugar was very goodseemed to be alittle too good, i liked the stuff they did think it might get old quick though
tery brock and edens curse was very good.missed most of pride of lions waiting for a pizza at the restaurant jimi jamison got up and sang atleast 1 song missed it.danger danger were very good i like thier first cd alot and they played atleast 5 songs from it, great energy
talked to the crown of thorns guys again as they were hangin out in the crowd quite awhile again
y&t were solid maybe the set of the weekend, dave still can sing like its 1984, played a couple of new things got them to play dont stop runnin
day 3 ran late so wegot there in time for 7th heaven who were excellent and the 30 hits in 30 minutes was cool, but thier own stuuff is worth checking out
crown of thorns was probably the band nost people didnt know much of but enjoyed the most a great rockin set played about 5 songs from the first cd and stayed at the venue almost all day, great guys they spent the most time hangin with the people of any of the big names.trixter and winger played good sets justnot my cup of tea

Heaven on Earth was really awesome live. Jim didn't play anything on the song and just sang his heart out with Toby, really cool moment in the show.
Ok, I made a mistake, they played "Music and me" not "Gift of Song" and the other song was "Let Me let You Go" which Toby stated was one of his favorite songs.

For the time I was there, I had a good time. Good to see Mecca perform. Jamison and Chalfant sounded good and Winger and to my surprise Trixter were good. I knew 3 of Trixter's songs going in but the rest was pretty good too. Watching Rod Morgenstein play drums was a treat (and I'm not even a drummer). He may be the best left-handed drummer ever. Definitely the best jewish drummer ever. :P :D John Roth surprised me too and Reb was solid as always (I've seen him with Whitesnake, Night Ranger, and Alice Cooper. First time seeing him with the band he's famous for -Winger).

My only recommendation for the next show, and I don't say this to mean but to truly help a guy out. Andrew needs to have a dress code in place for Jim Peterik at MR 3 (if there's one). It's truly getting embarrassing for him. I thought he was wearing a dress at first glance. Who knows, by next year, he may be out right cross dressing. Andrew needs to do this for Jim's sake and quite frankly for his own and the rest of the Melodic Rock community. Peterik's wardrobe or custom will single handedly drag the genre down and make it a laughing stock. Again not to mean but to offer friendly advice.

What difference does his wardrobe make? If he likes the way he looks, who cares? He writes some of the best songs on the planet. That's like saying "Elton John needs to change his wardrobe, or he'll bring down the whole pop genre!" While I don't agree with his attire, it's really none of my business. Rock on Jim!!!

 Tito cracks me up. I'm a huge JP fan, but come on Jim, if I'm trying to introduce someone to his excellent work, it doesn't do me any favors to pop in the PoL DVD only for them to see the guy I'm gushing about dressed more like a peacock than a rock star

rob lamothe was amaziing(only complaint was short set/no riverdogs) but im a huge rob/riverdogs fan so i could have seen a 2 hour set and been happy
rob gave me a shout out from the stage as his facebook friend very cool.
cant say much about the rest of the nights acts, we were partying a little hard hangin up in the vip room which was open to everyone that night
got to finally meet rob, zander his son and doug who was sitting in with rob, the rock sugar guys were there meeting everyone they have a nice buzz and seem to have a lot of intrest from the people, caught a little of alias and mecca but not enough to review. the guys from crown of thorns showed up and were great. heared that some of the guys from danger danger and winger hung at the hotel bar closed it down and proceeded to the lobby with a coller and some acoustic guitars until 5 but sadly we partook in too much cheer from 6 to 1 and missed it.
day 2 nice sets from far cry and talon.rock sugar was very goodseemed to be alittle too good, i liked the stuff they did think it might get old quick though
tery brock and edens curse was very good.missed most of pride of lions waiting for a pizza at the restaurant jimi jamison got up and sang atleast 1 song missed it.danger danger were very good i like thier first cd alot and they played atleast 5 songs from it, great energy
talked to the crown of thorns guys again as they were hangin out in the crowd quite awhile again
y&t were solid maybe the set of the weekend, dave still can sing like its 1984, played a couple of new things got them to play dont stop runnin
day 3 ran late so wegot there in time for 7th heaven who were excellent and the 30 hits in 30 minutes was cool, but thier own stuuff is worth checking out
crown of thorns was probably the band nost people didnt know much of but enjoyed the most a great rockin set played about 5 songs from the first cd and stayed at the venue almost all day, great guys they spent the most time hangin with the people of any of the big names.trixter and winger played good sets justnot my cup of tea

Just got home from a great weekend with a beautiful signed guitar to beat. Totally shocked, since I never win anything and figured it would be just a donation.

I have to commend Andrew and the RoadHouse for the outstanding venue. It was great to have so many options to view the stage or just listen to the music. Day 2 I had my butt cemented to a fantastic seat on the upper deck and I wasn't giving it up. First festival I've ever been to where you can actually have a waitress deliver drinks and food to you (without VIP) so you don't miss any of the music...and it had plenty of decent bathrooms. YEAH!! Nice hotel as well. Sunday night when we got back to the hotel, almost all the bands still in town were just hanging out in the lobby including Winger. Really Cool!!!

The bands were all great. Y&T was my favorite, but thoroughly enjoyed the rest especially Danger, Danger, Rock Radio (got to hear Stranglehold LIVE, my old ringtone), Winger (who handled the equipment glitches so well), Rob Lamonthe from Friday night. Wonderful to see Jami Jamison and Jim Peteric together again, even if his guitar wasn't on during the couple songs he joined JJ on during his set in Rock/Radio. Actually, there wasn't a band I didn't like. I saw them all with the exception of the first 2 on Friday night and I finally got to see 7th Heaven. Really fun band and I'll definitely have to see them again. The 30 songs in 30 minutes were great.

I really hope Andrew is able to do this again. This was an outstanding event with great bands and great people. It was great meeting some of the folks I hadn't met before.

Again, Thanks Andrew for a fantastic weekend festival of incredible music.

BTW - MichiganGirl really does Laugh Out Loud and she's still Laughing Her Ass Off!!

I wanna sit back and write a full review, but I can start by saying that Vic Rivera and Eddie from Ted Poley's band are 2 of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, Ted Poley is a tremendous frontman/singer, Farcry is an incredible band, Alias and Mecca were awesome live and Toby Hitchcock has the best voice on the fucking planet.

Vic ended up being the guy that you just want to squeeze into every photo shot you can when he's around. I wish I'd had more time to talk to him. Just a very cool, fun guy to be around. Loved how he described his excitement to see Winger right before they started. :)

I got an EXCELLENT video of D2's "Under The Gun". Ted was just amazing to watch, and I'm hoping to upload it tomorrow.

You lucky person. Freddy Curci of Alias never performs live. You guys are too lucky... Wish I could have been there.

that I find VERY hard to believe. Good, yes, but at the same time, very raw. He's got a lot of room to grow into his voice, if you will. At the present, if he's still got most of his range, someone like Freddy Curci could sing circles around Toby. Still, good find by Peterik.
