If Augeri truly had class, he never would have made a mokery of the music.

The music industry has been a mockery for years and years. It doesn't make it right what happened, but he was far from making a mokery out of Journey or the industry. Nobody is perfect, least of Augeri or Journey. But it was a bad call on "the bands" part as a whole. Journey was more of a follower in this. Other peerformers were doing it, so they did. Wrong move!!! They should have took the high road. Augeri should have stood up and said no! But that did not happen and they followed the path they went down. Augeri's fault? Journey's fault? I do not care who is to blame. They and it is they made a mistake, a bad call, whatever you want to call it. They got caught. Good.
But do I hold that against them? No! I went to see Journey with Perry, Augeri, and Soto. I may go see them again (not a big AP fan here. He is my least favorite singer in the group, behind Ross. Yes AP can sing, but not a fan, maybe the new cd will change that). I will go see Augeri if he comes near here. But I have moved on ( I know you didn't bring this topic up). They did wrong, get over it, move on with or with out the band.

Obviously, he couldn't - and shouldn't - play any Journey tunes. But I think it could be a cool way for the band to honor the man who "helped the Journey continue," and it would put Augeri back in front of the very people who love him.

You're an idiot. They made his career. They resurrected a guy that was working as a Maintenance Manager for The Gap and made him a millionaire several times over. His career had ended until Journey called. I'm not condoning what they did at all, but Steve Augeri owes the Journey hiring team a lot of thanks. Like it or not, his time in the band was basically an uneventful and stagnant 8 years of no CD sales, no media mention and GH tours. Yet they held on to him. Loyal, per usual.
