Zombie's H2 seemed to take out some anger at the studio he thought misrepresented the remake to him to begin with....whatever the truth is, that is a scary fkn movie TOTALLY different than anything, including Zombie's own remake, that came before it.
In the process of seeming to be blatanly in the face of studio he somehow created some seminal, if "new," "Halloween" scenes.
And the location and settings of RZH2 was everything the prior films had aspired to, as far as ruralism is concerned.
Agree with the previous sentiments ANOS was prematurely remade before Englund's sequels, which seemed to have revived with Craven at them helm in "6" (and before the comic book sidetrack of FVJ), had run their course, and certainly same for Phantasm, though as stated, that as a seminal classic will most likely be remade before properly sequeled while Scrimm and Coscarelli are still functional.
