This will be fun! Can't say I'm excited about the Kansas part, might snooze a bit there but Heart and DL are always awesome to see. And I'm betting with a 3rd band in there like Kansas this time that means that Heart's and DL's sets will be shorter, and that sucks, but oh well, lol. And yeah, DL will be the closers. I love the haters Sorry but DL has a huge loyal fan base, they ARE a great band.

I know Joe's voice can't handle it, but it would be awesome to have an "evening with" kind of concert with just them, because aside from all the radio hits there are more obscure songs of theirs I think would be awesome to hear live, like "Gift Of Flesh" (I think that one would be killer live) or "Cry", and others.

Yeah and what's funny is Slang DID have to grow on me before liking it as much as I do now, lol. But you're right, I remember Slang wasn't super well accepted by fans at first. And you named 3 of my favs from it too other than GOF, I love Blood Runs Cold, Breathe a Sigh, and Where Does Love Go When It Dies. And Move With Me Slowly is obscure! And I love that one too.

I think X was accepted by fans better than Slang was. And they did play the song Slang live at least at one of the shows we caught within the last few years, lol.

I love this line up... Def would be closer... or should be... and if it hits DM... I am there...I just hope its an arena tour and not a state fair tour... and if Kansas is on the bill it will be full circle for me as Kansas was my first live concert in 1977!!

Someone mentioned Steinhardt singing, but he's not in Kansas anymore....David Ragsdale is back on violin and guitar and Billy Greer does Robby's parts.

I saw Kansas last October playing a furniture convention here in NC...they rocked and Walsh sounded surprisingly very good. I was up close (10ft from the stage) and paid close attention...he was deferring all the really high notes to Greer, but otherwise sounded very good.

I hope this tour actually happens...

The first time I saw Kansas live was right after Steinhardt rejoined the band and just after they put out "Always Never the Same". I was thrilled to be able to see them live with him in the band. Also got to chat with him after one of the other shows I saw and he was very personable and I noticed him chatting it up with fans prior to another show, so he seems like a genuinely nice person. That being said, I'm glad Ragsdale is back after Steinhardt let again. At this point, I think he's a better player, plus he plays guitar as well on some of the other tunes.

Walsh has sounded better each time I've seen them since he quit the drugs. He sounded utterly horrible through the 90s. I'm also glad Greer is doing more vocals because, at this point, he has the best voice in that band.

Unfortunately, it's been several years now since I've seen them live and would love to catch them since I've never seen them live with Ragsdale in the band.

Ragsdale brings alot more energy to the band. You should check out There's Know Place Like Home. Great DVD they put out last year with a college symphony. I had the pleasure of attending the filming. Great seeing Kerry Livgren and Steve Morse on stage with them.
