To add insult to injury, Wisconsin fans boarded an Amtrak train Thursday for an arrival today for the Rose Bowl. 490 passengers boarded in the midwest, with an expected arrival time in LA of 830AM, plenty of time to see the game. Well, due to inclement weather, malfunctioning signals, and a frozen airhorn, the train lost 7 hours into Albuquerque, and they arrived into LA at 455PM, missing the entire game. I have friends who work for Amtrak and they said the onboard atmosphere resembled a mob scene. It was not pretty.
Ouch! Can't say as I blame them. There was nothing reported on the local news tonight so this is the first I've heard about it.
