A Nice Day of Buttfucking in the Big Ten

Postby Rockindeano » Sun Jan 02, 2011 7:55 am

Geez, talk about a pathetic conference.

Way to lay down boys. Let's recap.

Mississippi State blows out Michigan 52-14. Nice effort.

Alabama throttles Michigan State 49-7. Another real competitive effort.

Texas Tech beats Northwestern 45-38.

Florida over Penn State 37-24.

0-4 early on New Years Day. Wisconsin to play the Frogs in Pasadena later on.

Oh congrats though Big Ten, you did get major wins in the Insight.com bowl by Iowa and the ever great Texas Bowl with Illini beating those pesky Bears of Baylor.

Add to that Washington beating Nebraska, a new Big Ten team in the Holiday Bowl.

The Big Ten is a disgrace.

A) Why the fuck do so many teams from that conference go to bowl games?
-----because they all have 7 wins+

B) Why do many teams have 7+ wins?
----Pathetic OOC schedule.

This is a disgrace for college football.

They have always been an overrated conference in football. Anytime their "best" team played another "best" team from another conference, they get their ass's man handled. Teams with speed just beat the shit out of them every time!

To add insult to injury, Wisconsin fans boarded an Amtrak train Thursday for an arrival today for the Rose Bowl. 490 passengers boarded in the midwest, with an expected arrival time in LA of 830AM, plenty of time to see the game. Well, due to inclement weather, malfunctioning signals, and a frozen airhorn, the train lost 7 hours into Albuquerque, and they arrived into LA at 455PM, missing the entire game. I have friends who work for Amtrak and they said the onboard atmosphere resembled a mob scene. It was not pretty.

Ouch! Can't say as I blame them. There was nothing reported on the local news tonight so this is the first I've heard about it.

I'm just hoping your boy Teboner doesn't screw the pooch against SD. I need the Chargers to lose to possibly vault them higher than us in the draft. Need Jax to lose too!

Damn I'm glad I don't have to root for Denver every week. The league has already figured out Teboner can't throw. You can't run the QB draw 23 times a game and expect to be successful. :x

Are you high? You are pumped up because you got Weiss? LOL, he sucks. Good luck in the SEC.

Oh by the way, neither you nor Penn State belonged in a New Years day bowl. Both of you were very very average.

The sad fact is neither did East Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia, NC ST., Illinois, Baylor, Arizona, Iowa, Army, SMU, Kansas St., Syracuse, UNC, Tennessee, Washington, S. Florida, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Northwestern, Texas Tech, Michigan, Kentucky and Pittsburgh. Not a single one of these should have been either. Way to many meaningless bowls.

Nothing like riding the coat tails of your past is there? Funny, I hear those exact words fly out of your barking pie hole regarding Neal and his band on an everyday basis downstairs... :) Michigan is shit...expect to see Rich Rod get run this week...maybe you guys and THE Ohio State University can schedule some Division AA teams next year to increase the win totals...oops, already tried that a few years back...Appalachian State came into the Big House and did you in your own crib. I never laughed so fucking hard in my life. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm as big of a PSU fan as anyone alive, but they need a QB. We have young talent everywhere, but if you don't have a QB, you're nothing. It's actually quite embarrassing to be a major collegiate program and you're showcasing a shitbum walk-on during a bowl game. Ask 13, I called the pick 6. It was just a matter of time. Their recruiting class 2 years ago was phenomenal, but they need a play caller.

I agree. They need to do what ever they can to recruit a top quality QB. Matt McGloin is good but not good enough and I'm not impressed with Rob Bolden either.

Matt Mongloid is terrible and Boldin needed a bit more grooming. Throwing him in there as a true freshman against Alabama and Iowa and then benching him was a bush league move. Personally, I thought that Newsome was the best of the 3 and he's transferring. Can't say that I blame him, either. If my coaches started Matt Mongloid over me, I would have turned in my uniform on the spot. He's as bad as they get. They might land a good recruit after seeing Mongloid's terrible performance against Florida. Any recruit worth a fuck will be able to start over that pasty-faced midget.

Boldin's problem is he tries to make big highlight reel plays every down. You can't throw a 50 yard bomb into triple coverage and expect the receiver to catch it.

Bolden's all but gone @ PSU now....it's down to McGloin (my choice, still) and Paul Jones.
Need a 3rd strigner.
Congrats to FL. Although I like him, McGloin single-handedly gave UF the game.

I know you hate the SEC, but Weis is a hell of an O-coordinator and that's a great pickup for Florida. He failed as a head coach, but even then, I don't think he ever lost his players (the key to the best coaches imo). He just didn't get the job done for whatever reasons, many of them not his fault (eg Notre Dame is no longer a heralded program to play for and hasn't been since most college recruits the last few years have been alive or can at least remember).

Is Jones any good? I can understand Boldin being upset but what does he expect? He's an inexperienced true freshman, he's not gonna start anywhere else. Did he think he was gonna walk in and be a superstar starter from the beginning? He might as well get used to riding the bench because after his performance this season, no D-1 school will bring him on as a starter.

Agree about his sense of entitlement, and the fact that the father is poking his beak in now makes me think: "typical."

I mean come on, Joe Paterno's won a few games I gotta figure he knows what he is doing and I think if Bolden sticks around he will have every chance along w/ Jones and McGloin to win the '11 job.

Programs will definitely take Bolden on, though, he came in as a real blue chip.

The problem Bolden faces is the one year sit out period if he transfres to a FBS school..I suppose he could go play at a FCS school next year then transfer back to a FBS school, but frankly, I just don't see this guy as good as you boys do.
