Michigan fires Rich Rod today. How convenient? Stanford just finished up a 12-1 season last night(IMO, the second best team in the country), and Harbaugh is probably going to go to Ann Arbor. I don't get why he would want to leave Stanford for Michigan? Yeah it's his alma mater, and stanford is a helluva lot tougher to recruit to than Michigan, but he could build something special on the Farm. Stanford would seem to have just as much cash on hand as Michigan would.

Now, where does Rodriguez go? My guess is Pittsburgh. They just fired their wife beating coach so this seems plausible to me.

I don't care where NimRod goes. Michigan needs to make sure ever soft player he's recruited goes with him. Except for shoelace....he can stay.

Jimmy needs to come home to the bighouse. Get back to the smashmouth football that Michigan is supposed to be.

Yeah, but Jimmy is real good at the pro set offense that Stanford runs. Did you see that machine at work last night? It was too easy. Of course having the best QB in the land makes it so, but I think JH likes to air it out, and that style(except for Purdue), doesn't play in the Big Ten. Stanford would crush EVERY team in the Big Ten, easily.

Of course he has to play down the possibility. He doesn't want it looking too obvious jumping ship from Stanford. How could he resist leading the team onto the field in front of 110,000 people while the greatest fight song in the land plays????

If you were watching ESPN now like I am, it does seem likely. He's coming, IMO. I know the NFL is calling too, maybe in Denver with Elway calling him. The other possibility is Les Miles jumping ship from LSU. Now I get that. I would leave the rigors of the SEC to the easy road of the Big Ten. the SEC is just too tough to compete in day in and day out. The Big Ten you get about 5, 6 freebies every year; Indiana, Minnesota, Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan :)

Yeah, I'm watching ESPN too. Like one of the guys said..How often will the Michigan job come up??? There are plenty of good NFL jobs available every year!!!

Miles' buyout at LSU is deemed too expensive by Michigan. They say Harbaugh is "our guy." This is getting interesting.

Michigan better get it right here, or they will quickly become like Notre Dame- becoming a standard level program, not a top tier status team.

He's got a redshirt to burn yet so that helps.

I wasn;t sold on him and the team seem to respond more to McFavre. But most of the PSU blogosphere HATES McGloin and teabags Bolden.

You would think Paterno could recruit the living shit out of the entire Northeast and find him the best possible stud QB....just go out and do it old man!

So do I? I hate those fuckers. I hate Ohio State and Michigan as much as hate Washington, and that's saying something. Now Herbstreit is saying the 49ers job might be the way Harbaugh is going.

Sugar Bowl

Sorry about Ohio St last night. I know the SEC was pulling for another Big10 stomping, but the Razorbacks just didn't have all their $hit together for 4 complete quarters. Oh well...maybe next year.

For God's sake, the Hogs could have probably ran the ball there from the 15 yd line with a minute to go. OSU was not stopping anything at that point. Tallet forced that throw. The Big ten and the Buckeyes set up a Hog win on the tee for shits sake with the blocked punt. hell, had the Hog slowed down, recovered the blocked ball, he could have walked in. there was no reason to pounce on it...it was their ball anyway. Ohio State couldn't have recovered it, so they should have just tried to carry it in without falling on it. Damn stupid fucking Southerners. Don't you people have brains?

Great point, but get this...The Vest made them all promise that they would return next year for their senios years...yeah, ok Coach, we'll do. Come on, they are all going to go pro. This isn't the Vests' fault, this is the NCAA's.
