That's what I mean. I know people like that. And to me it borders "checking up on". And I never can understand how they can like living that way. It's not sweet and it actually loses its sweetness even more when it becomes that predictable. I'll take a random unexpected phone call or text message over that anyday!

Actually, she has more freedom than any woman I know. I actually encourage her to go out and party with her friends...and I've never once asked her "where she is" or anything like that.

The knocks against Cleveland are fair and more than well-documented. I made a decision to come back here after college first and foremost because of all the family and friends I have here, but also because I'd rather be a big fish in a small pond in my career. I'm already making unbelievably good money in a cheap place to live and my friends and family are close by. Sure, the weather blows and the sports teams are hitting a new low even for Cleveland right now, but I get my concerts, culture, and the like here. Combine that with my friends/family and that's all I really need.

Now, if my family/friends all dropped off the face of the earth tomorrow, I'd probably be the first to be looking for a ticket out of here... probably to Denver.
