Has there been any city in America that has had 3 or more of their sports teams either cheat or play dirty on a consistent basis in the last ten years as Boston has with the Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox?
There are certain organizations that are consistently dirty year in and year out. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the old Raiders teams have been notorious for dirty play year after year. However, to my knowledge Pittsburgh and Oakland/LA other sports teams don't consistently play dirty or cheat.
In the last ten to maybe even 15 years Boston is the only city in America that I can think of that has had 3 different sports teams all consistently play dirty or cheat.
There have been so many examples of cheating and dirty play in Boston over the last ten years that I can't even remember all of them.
If anyone on here can prove me wrong on that statement, then by all means give me some examples.
Just think back over the last ten years how many times a Celtics player has punched another teams player in the groin, or twisted another teams players thumb, or given another teams player a shoulder in the face/head. Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Glen "Big Baby" Davis have all been guilty of doing those types of things on multiple occassions.
If you think about Boston's sports teams in the last ten years you have to think about Tapegate, steroids, trash-talk and punching guys in the groin.
And that's not even counting Pedro Martinez's head hunting ten to twelve years back.

Actually, it's not just John from Boston.
I'll keep things civil as long as everybody else does. Believe it or not, I'm not trying to goad anyone with this thread. I'm just sick of all of these dirty players on Boston teams always pulling that kind of crap. I don't approve of that type of behavior from any player on any team in any city.
I didn't grow up hating the city of Boston or all of it's teams.
I never have liked the Celtics because of a kid I knew years ago that was a huge Celtics fan strictly because he was a racist, and the Celtics had a reputation as being a racist organization.

Go find me one clip on a Pittsburgh Steelers team who plays dirty that doesn't happen on any other football squad and I'll suck your cock. Tackling or making blindside blocks don't count since that's what's taught inside of the game because I can find 10 more of the same within the 32 teams who reside in the league who play the same way the Steelers do when it comes to tackles and hitting. Other than that, how are they dirty? Football is a dirty sport, plain and simple. We saw Ray Rice spit in the face of a Miami Dolphins defender, a Raiders defensive player knock the shit out of a quarterback with his bare fists, let alone seeing a Titans player STOMP on the others leg just a few years ago. That's dirty. All those PR stunts against Harrison and Pittsburgh this year came because of tackling the quarterback. People need to realize shit happens in football that's dirty. Every play. It's simply apart of the game.

I'll pass on the oral sex offer.
Every team is going to have a player that does something dirty every now and then, unfortunately.
But honestly, let's face it.... Hines Ward is as dirty of a player as there is in the NFL right now. I've known for several years now, and opposing players are starting to speak out about it, that Hines Ward waits until a player on the other team isn't looking so he can cheap-shot them. He does that on a regular basis.
James Harrison constantly goes after opposing players heads and then whines about having to pay fines for head hunting. There are always way to many Joey Porter (yes, I know, he's not with them anymore) types on the Steelers. If the Rooney family were these gods that the NFL seems to think that they are, then they would ship-out the low-life scum guys like Roethlisberger, Harrison and Ward. At least they did get rid of Santonio Holmes.
Again, I know that every team has some assholes on their team. But the Steelers seem to consistently have more dirty players than most other NFL teams.

Really? Boston was the first NBA franchise to draft an African American player, in 1950 - Chuck Cooper...and the first team to put an all black starting five on the floor.
Dennis Johnson, Robert Parish, Cedric Maxwell, Nate Archibald, Bill Russell, KC Jones, Quinn Buckner....etc. I wouldn't call the Celtics racist by any stretch....

So wait, you're calling BLOCKS dirty. You're calling TACKLING dirty. This league has been built to play like the way those players play. What you just described isn't dirty, it's LIFE in the NFL. Didn't Ray Lewis completley knock the absolute living FUCK out of a PUNTER one game, when he wasn't even anywhere near the play? I think it's funny people want to cry about a 35 year old WR in Hines Ward, all 200 pounds of him knocking out linebackers that outweigh him by 150 pounds moan about getting hit, whom is looking to knock that same wideout out of the game if he goes across the middle. But I don't blame you, I'd be bitter if I was anything Cleveland fan as well. All of their teams can't outplay children if they tried.

I don't have any problem with clean blocks and tackles! I'm talking about the cheap-shot crap that Holmes and Harrison always pull. Dirty head hunting plays, hitting a guy when he's not looking.
For the record... Ray Lewis is the guy that I hate the most in all of sports. That evil bastard should be rotting in prison for the rest of his life.

My dad, is a died in the wool republican, HATES the term African American as do I frankly. One day he said, why don't we call them American- Africans? It doesn't exactly flow, but he has a point. We're Americans first are we not?

More fucking nonsense from one of the biggest fucking jackasses this board has EVER seen! Check your fucking facts, Jamison boy! As S2M already pointed out, the Boston Celtics were the first team in the entire NBA to have 5 starting players who were all African-American. Their history is also well-known that all of their white players boycotted many venues in the south because of how Bill Russell was treated. Sorry dude, but you have your head completely up your ass, as usual. Stop sniffing Jamison ball bag and get a fucking clue! Now, if you want to call the Yawkey Era Red Sox racist, then I'm with you.

Are you out of your flippin' mind? Listen, I've been a die hard Red Sox fan since I was knee high to a grasshopper and I can assure you that there has NEVER been a more popular Red Sox player than Pedro Martinez...NEVER! The guy was the most dominant, pound for pound pitcher, in the history of MLB and Red Sox fans appreciated his immense talent and his outgoing personality. Pedro threw out a first pitch at one of the games last year and got a 10 minute standing ovation, so I'm not sure where you're dreaming this nonsense up! David Ortiz is also fan favorite. Even when he has slumped, Red Sox fans have always been fans of the guy. Manny is a completely different story, considering he physically attacked their senior citizen, traveling secretary. Even with that, Manny was treated VERY well during his years in Boston. The reality is that Manny simply couldn't play any longer, and considering that he's done absolutely nothing since leaving the Red Sox, I'd say Theo Epstein made the right call on that one!

In the summer of 1997 Pedro Martinez was begging the Expos to trade him to the Cleveland Indians. At that same time Curt Schilling was asking the Phillies to trade him to the Cleveland Indians.
When the Red Sox started talking about trading for Martinez, Martinez told the Red Sox to NOT trade for him because he wanted to go to Cleveland, and that if Boston traded for him he would NOT resign with them at the end of the season.
Well, the Red Sox did trade for Martinez, and once they overwhelmed him with a mammoth contract offer, he gave in and signed a long term contract with them.
