Better question, does Parfait even know what he's talking about?
Nope.

I'd like him to explain how a single cell organism was created. He says the "evolved", so I'm sure he can explain how they were formed.

I can't. There's several hypothesis, but no known valid theory yet. Panspermia is one example. You're however mixing up two very different things - the the big bang, and the replication of the first cell, which are to completely different things. The latter is called abiogenesis. Scientists have created life from nothing by the way; synthetically creating a chromosome on a computer.
Scientists have a very good understand of the principles of abiogenesis and they will find enough proof to validate a theory soon enough. What'll happen then. You'll say; but God did that too. The transitional bones shit you keep on spewing, Ginger, is simply mind bogglingly retarded. There's thousands of transitional bones. Go down to the local museum and ask a paleontologist and he'll point to many. He might even point to your ass and say; yup, the coccyx is the remaining, transitional bone, from a time when we had a tail. Go read a book. Seriously. It frightens me that you're a teacher.
What you're doing is clinging to blind faith, without any proof whatsoever; and I don't even want to start with the historical, logical or scientifically fallacies in religion. Any religion. You believe in the Christian God because you've been taught to do so. If you where raised in India, you would believe in Shiva, Vishnu and Ganesha. One of Vishnu's avatars, Krishna, is as many others, strangely similar to Jesus, who "lived" thousands of years later. Born through a virgin birth, both used parables to teach people and rose from the dead.
Strange... It's seems like it's all just total bullshit.
