I don't know what to say, except WOW! I'm at a loss for words here, and don't I look like the asshole. :(

Obviously there was some kind of communication break-down there. Guess I'll find out. Very disappointing though. :?

Showing my ignorance here but why exactly should 'Cold Heart' be on the front page today?

We were told that we would definitely have our song "Don't Give Up" included on the MRCD8.

I'm betting it was a good old fashioned brain fart. So it's bumped to MRCD9? That wouldn't be a bad thing altogether. You'll be closer to having the album finished, and people will be able to hear it on MRCD9 and then go buy it while it's fresh on their brain. I do understand the disappointment though.

It's a pity this couldn't be dealt with privately, but I shouldn't be surprised. Basically yes, it is my screw up. It was supposed to be on there, but I was planning a 2CD set. I don't have enough tracks for that or any time left to find more.

I've told Jim I would look into any possibilities to include it somehow. But the disc runs at 79 minutes already.

Maybe Jim shoulda dealt with it privately, but here you are admitting on your own public forum that (1) you're not good for your word when it comes to transacting business and (2) that once you couldn't keep a business commitment, you elected not to communicate that fact to the person you were doing business with and chose to let him find out about the adverse business action after the fact.

Doesn't look good for you.

Look on the bright side. At least you discovered the initial news of your screw up here at MR, not some other place.

I won't speculate. But there's certainly non-monetary business goodwill that can be gained or lost too.

I'm doing my best not to get really wound up here, but this is getting up my nose. Who are you to make these judgements against me? And since when have you been so judgemental?

This CD - is FREE for the bands to participate - doesn't cost them a cent. I just pick the best songs possible to represent the site and the genre. I told Jim I was going to do a ballads compilation. This track wasn't ready and needed work and they did that. But I am forced by the ECONOMY to make a single CD and not gamble on the concept of a all-ballads CD.
So I picked what tracks I had available, forgetting that Jim's track was actually now ready and that's that.

No need for these other insulting comments. I can't fit the track on, so I'll make it up to Jim. We all know that when Jim gets pissed, he posts about it regardless of consequences. I'd ask that you refrain from making such judgements and allow me to srt out this with Jim privately.

You're right Andrew, I do post here about what's going on with me. I apologize if I jumped the gun here, and never meant to turn this into a mud slinging contest. I'm just extremely disappointed by the omission of Cold Heart from the cd after we were told that we were going to be on it and wanted to let people know I was surprised by that fact. I'll deal with you privately about it, and I hope something can be worked out.

I have a great solution. Jim, why don't you now submit a rocker for the project, and I'll personally volunteer the time to listen to the other MR CD tracks and pick one that sucks and can be taken off to make room for yours. Assuming this feud isn't all just a well-crafted publicity stunt like the Led Zep reunion tour was.
