Gotta call BULLSHIT on this one, Daniel. What do you perceive that he did differently? Close Guantanamo? Nope. Try the accused terrorists in a civilian court? Uh oh. Leave Afghanistan? Not yet. What he did (and this is confirmed by BOTH sides) is continue to act on information that was obtained years ago. If you are referring to his world 'apology' tour then yes, I would agree that that is a change in course from the previous administration.
Look, I understand the need to revise what he said on the campaign trail once he got into office. I think he did the right thing by doing so. I respect him for it. My gripe is his arrogance on the campaign trail (and sometimes since) acting like he had all the answers and saying what the far left wanted to hear just to get their votes. Again, it's a far different world once you're wearing the hat of the most powerful man in the world. I hope he has learned something from it, but from the looks of his speech yesterday pandering to the hispanic vote, I somehow don't think so.
