I understand budgets are tight, but how much does it cost to set up a Twitter account & tweet? Nothing! It's FREE! HELLOOOO?!?! Heaven knows they didn't blow the entire advertising/marketing budget on the packaging. This has got to be Marketing 101. You have to let the people know the product is out there...assuming you intend for them to buy it.

then why didn't you complain about this three months ago when it would have mattered?
You're right, Monker. I said nothing. At the time I never dreamed anyone could be capable of such incompetence. Had I known they were going to f@ck it up, I would have done it myself.![]()

(what is it with you and the quote thingy??)
You don't release an album and promote it the day of. Having a piece of cardboard that says "Journey - Eclipse" in a Wal-Mart the day of is not going to change much. Getting a build up of promotion leading up to the release is what sells albums. I knew Eclipse was not going to sell the numbers predicted here when NO single had any radio play...that should have raised a red flag for everybody in the forum...Instead, well, you all kept up the fantasy and you got what you got.
Colossal miscalculation, to be sure. So, if you know that, and I know that...how come nobody on Team Journey knew that?
I'm sure they do know that. My question back to you would be: Why doesn't Journey care enough to promote their album?
Well, that seems to be the 16k unit question, right? Why on earth go to all this effort, only to allow (or should I say ensure) the fruits of ones labor wither on the vine? The short answer is: I don't know.
