maybe the best live recording of Journey since the Perry days. They were really in synch on this show, and it really shows the rock side of Journey. Just wish someone would go into the audio and fix some of the clipping issues--if possible.

Is there a recording there somewhere? I don't see it when I go to that link.

Don wrote:Yeah, it isn't the best clip but it seems to me the show in 2009 had a lot more excitement. Here, after the first dozen rows it seems the crowd wasn't quite as engaged.

...AND AGAIN only promoting through WalMart, even the downloads.
W H Y ? ? ?
Jon, Neal, Arnel, Deen, Ross--
MOST people that pay for downloads use ITUNES. PROMOTE THAT ECLIPSE IS THERE! (and AMAZON).
Seriously, they talk about DSB and how that's been great for iTunes users, but when they talk about Eclipse,
they only mention WalMart. ALSO- MANY people WILL NOT go into WalMart for political reasons.
They MUST have some kind of contractual thing where they can't mention the others. LAME.
As an aside, Deen's speaking voice sounds totally wrecked. Yikes.

You honestly believe that the 2009 Graspop show was that good? I thought it was an average performance and sounded awful.
May i suggest you track down the Bilbao, Spain dvd from the same tour. It is THE best recording and performance by this era of the band. Puts the official stuff on dvd to shame. Superb.

During the interview, Jon touched on Napster "stealing the album "Arrival" from us..."
I vaguely remember that topic being discussed in the BackTalk forum back around 2005 or thereabouts but I never really learned the whole story and what that was all about. I started coaching fulltime in 1999 and at the same time the Internet and PC boom was in full swing creating lots and lots of work and $$ for those of us who were building and fixing PC's at that time. That being the case, I found myself out of the loop on a lot of things and in some cases wouldn't learn about them until weeks after the events (Johnny Carson dying for example. I learned about it 2 weeks after it happened!)
Anyway, if someone would "nutshell" what happened with Arrival and Napster or point me to a link where I can read it for myself, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

Arrival came out in Europe first, and people downloaded the thing in the US, because they were curious and didn't want to wait. Then, they either didn't like it and didn't buy it, or they were happy with being scum and just kept the free download. I admit I downloaded the thing, but I also bought it when it finally came out in the US.
