The album is beyond incredible.

IN MY OPINION, only 1 or 2 of the songs can be DEBATED as "OK". The rest hit it out of the park.

5 of the songs (or so) are utter perfection (Bye Bye Baby, Time Of Our Lives, No Time To Lose, END OF THE DAY, Say It With Love). End Of The Day, specifically, well, if you can't at least find one aspect you like about it, then YOU DON'T LIKE MELODIC HARD ROCK!

Simply, this is the kind of album that got me into this kind of music, and I hope it does just that for others, especially youngsters.

I grew up as well and my musical tastes have expanded sure. However this release is a great throwback.

When AC/DC changes their style = call me. :)

End of the Day is my song of the year.

This is NR doing what NR does and their fans love and expect.. NR music... No mistaking it for anything else.. no "plod~n~roll" on this CD....

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I bought this disc a week or so ago and I love it. I'm not a NR fanboy, but I would put NR on my top 10 favorite bands list. I can't tell you how good this cd is. It simply BLOWS Eclipse out of the water. I'm not sure where Mac came up with 100 for Eclipse, but Somewhere in California deserves it's 100 rating from Mac and knocks it out of the ballpark for me. 10 rockers and 1 ballad is the line up. There is not a song I find myself skipping through on this cd. The ballad is called "Time of Our Lives" is one of the best ballads I've heard in years. The music is top notch, NR are not trying to be something they're not (unlike Journey), the vocals are EXCELLENT from Kelly and Jack, and Brad Gillis' guitar playing is just over the top. This disc has huge hooks at every turn and will have your toe tapping start to finish. The lyrics are straight ahead rock and roll with no "state of grace" gay bullshit like Friga has come up with over and over recently. It simply rocks. Do yourself a favor and buy the best disc released in a few years. It's simply a great cd from a great band. They sound as good as they did on Seven Wishes ... maybe better.

Yea. It's kind of a lightning in a bottle thing. Really odd for this band to strike such a perfect chord at this point in their career. One of the best NR albums hands down. I was such a big fan in the 80's but I am really surprised at how much I love this album.

Finally found a store that had this album and picked it up today. So far I'm really liking it. It's more immediate than Eclipse, and I think the songwriting is better, too.

Oh, and it is actually packaged in a jewel case and *gasp* has a legitimate liner note booklet with CORRECT LYRICS.

This might be the second album that upstages Journey's latest release. Foreigner's Can't Slow Down took that prize over Revelation, in my opinion.

Have you guys heard their cover of ACDC's Dirty Deeds? Jake Blades does a great job. Very rockin. It's on the iTunes version of the album.
