No Surprize wrote:And you know this how? Any proof? Collen was in the band long before the hired gun Campbell, a longgg fucking time. I'm sure during this time Collen picked up a few thing's from Clark. Their songwriting didn't suffer, they write great lyrics for the most part. Clark was the guy who came up with hooks & riffs, maybe a few lyrics here & there but that's it. Lyrics and the song structure comes from Elliott mostly. And I agree that with Hysteria, Leppard changed for the better in my opinion and obviously many others agree. You don't sell 18 million copies worldwide unless someone likes it. Armageddon it pure dog shit? Catchy as hell and a thousand other bands wished they had the talent to come up with it.
The only good/decent songs on
Hysteria are "Women," "Satellite" and (because it sounds like old Lepp) "Run Riot." Take the rest and toss it, including that vile "Pour Some Sugar On Me."
Lepp sold out
hard with that album. Of course they sold millions of copies — haven't you ever heard the term "masses of asses"?
High 'N Dry kicks the SHIT out of
Gheysteria!!!
