For me it is guitars, vocals, keyboards and songwriting in Giant.

I agree. Have not bought a def lep cd since.

Pyromania, to me, was Def Leppard's last great album. Aside from Love Bites, I can't stand that pop/dance/rock garbage they did on Hysteria. Armageddon It is pure dog shit plain and simple.

And that was also the last album with any input from Pete Willis.

They might do better if Phil Collen let Vivian take the lead for awhile. He can play Collen under the table.

And you know this how? Any proof? Collen was in the band long before the hired gun Campbell, a longgg fucking time. I'm sure during this time Collen picked
up a few thing's from Clark. Their songwriting didn't suffer, they write great lyrics for the most part. Clark was the guy who came up with hooks & riffs, maybe a few lyrics here & there but that's it. Lyrics and the song structure comes from Elliott mostly. And I agree that with Hysteria, Leppard changed for the better in my opinion and obviously many others agree. You don't sell 18 million copies worldwide unless someone likes it. Armageddon it pure dog shit? Catchy as hell and a thousand other bands wished they had the talent to come up with it.

Great lyrics like in "Make Love Like A Man"?

I have zero use for them unless they stick to the 1st 3 albums.

Oh, you wanna pick & chose on songs? Sure some are tongue in cheek songs, so fucking what? There's are usually 10 times better than other filler shit from other bands cd's. How about, ummm, let's see, "Gods of war", Paper Sun, so on and so forth that came from Hysteria on. To each is own. Not everyone likes
the same shit. Otherwise we'd all be stuck listening a 4'1" asian frontman for an american band.

The only good/decent songs on Hysteria are "Women," "Satellite" and (because it sounds like old Lepp) "Run Riot." Take the rest and toss it, including that vile "Pour Some Sugar On Me."

Lepp sold out hard with that album. Of course they sold millions of copies — haven't you ever heard the term "masses of asses"?

High 'N Dry kicks the SHIT out of Gheysteria!!!

Yes sure is missing Wakeman (either of them). The new album has about 12-15 minutes of good music on it. I don't know what the fanboys are clamoring over.
