^ That alone makes me believe, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this affair is entirely fabricated. No way would Neal leave her for Michaele Salahi. He might not be a genius, but he sure as fuck knows beautiful women.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

Seeing that this story still had legs (the irony) this morning, even I began to wonder if this was Eclipse promo part 2 - Neal Schon style with a long, drawn out run up to TMZ or some other media outlet finally mentioning Eclipse in a favorable light sometime in the very near future.

I suppose it's possible that this whole thing is legitimate, but I'm inclined to agree:

* Neal's sobered up
* He's giving his absurdly expensive guitars away like candy on tour, the behavior of someone who isn't a complete asshole
* The Salahis are notorious attention whores
* Neal's been promising surprising promotion for Eclipse
* Ava's better looking by far than Michaele

If Tareq suddenly find the means to save his/their house from foreclosure, we'll know for certain that this is all a farce.

No, I don't.
Of course, I don't have hair piece glue seeping into my brain either. What else could account for parading around with a sunbleached Olive Oyl while you got a fine speciman like Ava already in the corral.

Seriously, if Neal really is married to Ava, I think Journey getting any more positive daytime TV pub might be over for awhile. A woman scorned does seem to garner a lot of sympathy from others of the fairer sex. That's the crowd Journey has pandered to over the last few years. If the band wanted to change that image and put on their rock and roll combat boots, they should have toured with the Scorpions this year and let everyone know they were going to be now officially bad asses.

The subject of Muchaele is going to dominate any interview piece Journey is lucky enough to do on TV for the rest of the year.

They don't want to talk about it and posts on the subject get removed. A bit more of a PG rated site than here.

I jokingly said the same thing in either this thread or another thread about the affair. I would not put it past Schon to use this as some unique way of promoting Eclipse. I guess if it works, it works - but I'd be embarrassed to know that is the only way I was able to sell albums.

Sorry....but Neal really has no business "marrying" anyone, and so I don't understand this flux of older women over the past few years. Carpenter, the plastic surgery woman, Ava, and now this skank - They would all be attractive to normal 60 year old guys, but Neal has no business looking for a long term relationship at his age with his track record, so where are the twenty something groupies he should be banging after every show? No disrespect to the ex-Playboy playmate, I'm sure she was smoking in her age, but honestly, the pic with the guitar does kind of look like a fifty year old woman...albeit a hot one.... Maybe all the young girls are the smart girls....Or maybe he still stings a little from the smack down his last 20 something ex gave him. Either way, it's kind of odd, seeing an aging rock star cavorting with aging socialites.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, however,

We all know Neal has been through a lot of women - even had some relationships and marriages.

However, it seems that it was never obvious or well-known when each relationship ended. It was hardly noticed until he had a new girlfriend.

The Salahi's (both of them) know how to work the media.

If/when Neal ends this relationship, I don't think this one is going silently into the night. It could get ugly.

Almost makes me miss Herbie.

Who cares really? I must be in the minority with this subject, but I personally don't know Neal, I don't know Jon, I don't know Arnie, Deen, Ross, etc. I don't care about how much of a bunch of dicks these guys are I only care about the music. Schon wants to marry 50 women and get divorced from all of them that's great because it'll incease his need to put out new music.

I feel this way with the the pro sports players as well. Don't know the fuckers and they can be the biggest assholes in the world, just as long as they're performing and earning the money I spend on them. If anyone feels these people are role models then you might as well be as fucked up in the head as they are. These people are for your entertainment pleasure. So be entertained by them whether it's a womanizer like Schon, a rapist like Ben Rothlisburger, a dog killer like Vick, a roid freak like Mark McGwire, etc.

I turn on the t.v. this morning for the News and the first thing I hear is..."running away with the guitarist from Journey"...then of course, they have to joke using the Journey song names...ugh, leave the songs outta this. I don't really care who Neal hooks up with, it's his choice, although they seem to be poor choices. What I can't stand is all these no-talent people getting rich from Reality t.v. shows and publicity...Kardashians, Paris Hilton...at least, Neal is a gifted musician...why he is stooping so low?

Love this:

Hansen joked, "I'm thinking about staging my own kidnapping ... if only I could tolerate being around those horribly obnoxious women from one of those shows for more than 5 minutes."

We joke about this stuff and it's all in good humor and fun, but if you look at the seriousness of this, it's a pretty sad situation. I personally think this reality TV show idea - if it happens - will make the band a laughing stock in the eyes of the general public. Forget about Journey's legacy!

I think the Osborne show and the Gene Simmons show were both done in good taste - from the "family" perspective. Only if the show was correctly done could it actually prove to be fruitful for Journey, but I just don't see this at all being a great idea. I betcha shiny new nickel that Steve Perry is feeling even more relieved at the fact that he's not a part of the band now since all of this stuff has blown up! Probably Steve Augeri and Jeff as well!

"I think he had a girl in every city,” rocker Neal Schon’s ex mother in-law warns Michaele Salahi.
In an exclusive interview with RumorFix, Judy Kozan says the Journey guitarist broke her daughter’s heart.

“Even though there was a big age difference, you couldn’t tell when they first met because my daughter was head over heels in love with him. But he threw it all away.” Kozan tells RumorFix exclusively. 32-year old model Amber Kozan was married to the 57-year old rocker for eight years. The couple has two children.

“I just know that my daughter was very badly hurt by him and his daughters suffer as well from the divorce,” Kozan adds.

RumorFix has confirmed that Real Housewives of D.C. star left her husband, Tareq, for Schon and has joined the guitarist on tour.

We also chatted with Schon’s mom, Barbara Schon, who simply says, “He’s not a teenager — neither is she.”

Okay Judy Kozan says she never gave this interview 8)

The story has gone main stream now: www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2011/09/1 ... test=faces

Is Fox news mainstream?

On the flip side of the coin, maybe Journey is doing society a favor by exposing these so called Reality Shows and tabloid media. A "reality" show is one thing. But moving/expanding that "reality" into the real world and using the tabloid media to fuel it may finally start to turn the public off on this crap....but I doubt it. The world is fucked. If this broad wasn't on whatever show she was on, this wouldn't even be a story and no one would know. If it wasn't for these shows, the TMZs of the world wouldn't exist as a significant part of their coverage is to these "reality" stars. They feed of each other. All this stuff is a distraction from the real world. How are the wars going? Is the country still broke? Has any country defaulted today? Any real news today?

What the American public doesn't is what makes them the American public.

Maybe she'll start coming out on stage for a duet with Neal...I think No More Lies would be an appropriate song choice. :)

In all honesty, I can't see Neal as a reality star. Without his guitar he just isn't that interesting to me.

I'd say they are perpetuating it more than exposing. The exposure is there but people like me don't normally see it until something like this comes up. Some people chose to live with this as their reality.

Now CNN has broke the story too!

www.edition.cnn.com/2011/SHOWBIZ/celebr ... index.html

I've been out of the States for awhile, but didn't the Salahis get known from crashing an Obama ball at the White House? If so, could this be a plot by the adminstration to distract voters from the economy??

Seriously though, I hate this story. One of the reasons Journey was so 'unkewl' back in the day is because they were so boring! What did you ever hear about them other than they sold out shows? Now Neal wants to be like what's his name in Poison or whatever. :?

I hope those two solo disks get released soon, before things take a turn for the worse. I know it's selfish...
