I like Joan Jett, I just think it's too early for her to get in on her own. Heart definitely deserves it along with many otherss

At a time where you were either glam/hair rock (WhiteSnake, Poison, Motley Crue)or pop-rock (Journey, Bon Jovi, Def leppard) Guns and Roses were neither of these. AFD was unlike anything being released at that time and its debut a sales attest to the fact that people were starting to look for something a little different. Every song on that album was great.

Based on that logic, why isn't Boston in based on Boston alone? Everything you said above applies equally, if not more so, to them.

Boston SHOULD be in. So should Meat Loaf. Bat Out of Hell is one of the Top 5 best selling rock albums in the world. When you can have one special album that continues to sell steadily a quarter century later, you've done something amazing.

Pat Benatar should be in too. She dominated women's rock in the early '80s. She won four Best Female Rock Performance Grammys in a row. She needs to go in.

I just can't see them ever putting a murderer in the HOF. But stranger things have happened.
Ehwmatt wrote:One of the worst lists of nominees ever and that's saying a lot.
GNR is absolute shit and shouldn't even be sniffing the Rock Hall. The fact they were nominated on the coattails of one decent album and a few stadium-ready anthems over bands like The Guess Who, Rush, Journey, and countless others is a travesty.

A solo artist for 31 years and the impact she had on female rockers everywhere and it's too early?
It's an absolute CRIME that Rush, Kiss, Deep Purple among others have been excluded so long.

Ray Lewis will make it into the HOF. The Football HOF, that is. So yes, murderers make it into the HOF too.

There is an enormous distinction between being found "not guilty" and being innocent. I suspect Ray was a lot more involved (beyond "obstruction of justice")than some think. That said, dude is a beast of a player and one of the best I've ever seen come into the NFL.
