To me, it would make more sense to be using those days putting in resumes and going on job interviews rather than to be spending all day long picketing for more government assistance. And don't tell me there are no jobs to work at. There's still jobs even in my lowly little area of high unemployment. It's just that people are not willing to accept the less than perfect job or to face the facts that if they borrow money for college, they need to pay it back.
Again, my point WAS...99% of the people complaining about the OWS movement HAVE jobs....most people have a very skewed view of things. They tend to ONLY look at their own situation when making VERY important decisions. "Fuck the country as a whole, I'm gonna get mine". e.g. congress.
I think what the INITIAL beef entailed was folks angry over crony capitalism, and bailouts. If corporations can get bailouts, why can't the common folk?
That part makes sense to me.
I agree with this also, but I'll take it a step further. They should have never given ANY corporations a bail-out. They should have let it play out, and let the market dictate who will succeed and who will fail. The government has no right to decide who will succeed or who will fail!
