Not really. As you said in a later post, the Colts were on the decline with Manning. In my opinion, I don't think they would have made the playoffs this season with Manning. They sure as hell wouldn't be winless with the guy, but their run (if you even want to call it that) is over. The Colts are basically the Atlanta Braves (which isn't a compliment). They were a team who had all the talent in the world for many years, and somehow managed to win only one championship. They lost a whole lot more big games than they ever won!

Oh really?

So you didn't say this in the TV thread:

"THX is a series of hundreds of tests (some audio...some video) that are said to elevate a TV to a higher standart (i.e. THX Standard). As for having a TV ISF calibrated, I am one of the biggest techno geeks on the planet when it comes to electronics. I have owned more TV's than I can count, and have had a dedicated home theater with an overhead projector in my last three homes. I've also been a member at avsforum.com (a great site) for over 10 years. Guess what...I've NEVER had a single TV or projector calibrated. If you're buying a Panasonic that has THX mode, it is unlikely that you would even see a difference after a professional calibration (it's that good)! Incidentally, there are blu-ray discs on the market that would allow you to calibrate the set on your own, if it was that important to you."

Listen fuckwad, I'll go toe to toe with you any fucking time. Again, you're a complete fucking embarrassment to sports fans and it makes me fucking nauseous that you are a Boston sports fan. Putting a quote of mine up doesn't prove anything you said. Being a techno "geek" (which means that I'm an avid purchaser of consumer electronics) is VASTLY different from claiming I am a "wizard" (which claims a certain expertise). Interesting how you didn't quote a post of mine in the same thread where I clearly stated that I'm no expert, douchewad! Fuck you cuntrag!

This Tebow thing has legs. NBC is furious right now because Bob Kraft (who knew he had so much power) refused to allow them to "flex" the New England versus Denver game to next Sunday night, so now they are forced to air Baltimore versus San Diego. I'm sure CBS is very happy that they get to keep this game as a 4:15 kickoff next week.

Going to my 2nd Steelers game in 4 days. Got to love it. Opted to take one of my best friends who is stapled down to marriage and who has never been to a Steelers game, ever. Going to be a blast (if we win of course.)

Browns @ Steelers: The Browns are beat up severely after that pounding they took from the Ravens last Sunday. Colt McCoy, who's nursing a knee injury, will play, along with Peyton Hillis, who was doubtful but now is a go tonight and will play. With the Browns d-line beat up and with the Steelers showing more consistency and running the ball better, this is a perfect time to get the snow-tires out and go to work on a cold night in Pittsburgh in Prime Time. Josh Cribbs is pissed off and the Browns are injured so I won't be surprised to see a heavy dose of the Wild-Cat managed by Cribbs, something he worked to perfection in the 2009 season, a Browns win. Steelers by 16.

LOL @ "if we win." :(

I'm watching tonight, but only because it gave me a chance to get together with a bud I haven't seen in a long time. This team is so boring to watch I'll be shocked if the Steelers fans themselves don't peace out after the 2nd quarter. And don't count on the wildcat: Shurmur doesn't like it. That might be the one thing I agree with the guy on  .

Steelers versus Browns - On paper, a complete mismatch of a game. The Girl Scouts might be a good team one day, but this isn't the day. Steelers by 3 TD's.

I don't think it's wise for the Browns to try to run a conventional offense against the Steelers. They can barely run a conservative offense against air as it is. I expect some trickery from Cleveland tonight. Maybe many 4th down attempts, surprise onsides or fake punts in their arsenal. A team with nothing to play for this late is scary. Got to be prepared for anything.

I will be SHOCKED if they try much of anything tricky. This bum Shurmur thinks his offense is great. It's terrible. And allegedly, it's totally predictable if you believe certain analysts and ex-pros. I believe it too, seeing how our offense gets eaten alive. That's not just mere lack of talent, that's predictability too.

I just drove by Shurmur's house on my way home. Nice house right on Lake Erie, worth well over $1 million. The Occupy protesters should direct their attention to people making big money who really don't deserve it!

A little fantasy advice needed...

1) Steelers' D at vs. Cleveland or Baltimore?

2) Michael Bush at RB or Marion Barber?

Can't go wrong either way with Pittsburgh/Baltimore. Flip a coin. Both are stout at home and will probably be in the same ballpark with overall points.

As for Bush & Barber, I'd go Barber only because they are going up against Denver and that's likely to be a close game, especially both offense's being countered with the running game with Denver & Tebow and Chicago & Barber. Factor in the Bears gameplan will probably be ground game all day since we already seen what Caleb Henne is made of. As for Bush, Palmer already said going clock control isn't the way to go against Green Bay so they are probably gearing up for a shootout and that hurts Bush's chance at solid carries.

Pittsburgh/Baltimore (the Colts showed some offense in the 4th QRT against the Pats. Something to keep an eye on but it still doesn't matter) & Marion Barber would be my starts.

That's easy. You play whatever defense is playing the pathetic Colts, which in this case is Baltimore.

Tough call. Green Bay gives up more yards on the ground, but Denver has given up fewer rushing TD's.

I would go with Bush just because he's much more likely to get you some receptions on top of the rushing yds and/or TDs.

I am sick to my stomach after watching Big Ben's ankle get twisted like a pretzel...I predict a broken ankle or severe sprain...and done for the season...and so go the Steeler's chance of going back to the Super Bowl for a rematch...ugh...

Break his neck next time. It doesn't matter. I didn't see the ankle injury. Heard it was pretty nasty. Was absolutely shocked he came out in the second half. I thought he busted his knee or leg from where I was sittin. Thought the season was over. It just doesn't get any tougher than Roethlisberger. Guys a nut and pure headcase. Feels no pain.

Kansas City at NY Jets - The Jets are still holding on to hopes of the playoffs, while Kansas City has nothing to look forward to. Jets by 14.

Tampa Bay at Jacksonville - The "Friends and Family Bowl" (translation...nobody gives a fuck). Tampa by 1.

New England at Washington - Washington has some good players on defense, and Helu has been running strong. That said, they simply can't score enough points to beat the Patriots. I'm certain they'll score some against the Patriots defense (who doesn't). Patriots by 14.

Atlanta at Carolina - Rival game for these two teams. Cam Newton is on his way to winning the rookie of the year, and Carolina is riding a two game winning streak. Cam's candicacy will continue, but Carolina's streak ends. Falcons by 7.

Indianapolis at Baltimore - If the Colts actually gave a fuck about winning, this is a game they could win. Baltimore has an inconsistent offense, but their defense will be all over this inept team of quitters. Ravens by 17.

Philadelphia at Miami - I absolutely LOVE the way Miami is playing this season. While they only have a 4-8 record, it is a VERY different 4-8 record than their opponent this week. Miami plays their asses off EVERY week. My guy tells me that Miami should absolutely win this game, coming off a THUMPING of the Raiders and on their home field. I'm not trusting my guy this week. Eagles by 3.

Minnesota at Detroit - Detroit has already slipped to third in their own division, and has a very realistic shot of not making the playoffs. They are a VERY undisciplined team with a very questionable head coach. I just don't see the Vikings being able to keep up on the scoreboard, if Stafford starts slinging it all over the place. Lions by 17.

New Orleans at Tennessee - The Titans are still alive for a playoff berth (even though they aren't a playoff team) and must win every game they can over the next three weeks. I don't like their chances with the Saints coming into town. Too inconsistent of a team, who can't hang with the big boys of the NFL. Saints by 17.

Houston at Cincinnati - My lock of the week. On paper, this is an easy pick for Houston. They have won 6 in a row, while the Bengals have proven that they simply can't beat good NFL teams. Houston continues to impress, by winning with whoever they put under center. I believe their luck runs out this week. Bengals by 7.

Chicago at Denver - Two teams going in opposite directions. Denver has won 5 straight. Chicago has lost 2 straight, with no hopes of being able to turn it around, without a QB. Denver by 7.

San Francisco at Arizona - Arizona is on a bit of a roll right now, but it's about to come to an end. The Niners have been quite consistent for most of the season. They are the better team here and show up. Niners by 8.

Buffalo at San Diego - Apparently, someone told the Bills that the off-season already started. They have clearly packed it in. Given that December is the only month that San Diego ever wins in, this isn't a great matchup for the Bills. Chargers by 15.

Oakland at Green Bay - Horrible position for The Raiders and their fans, coming off of a complete tank job against Miami last week. The only reason the Raiders are even among teams who have a shot of the playoffs is the division they play in. Based on their performance last week, the Raiders simply can't be taken seriously. Packers by 14.

NY Giants at Dallas - No tougher game on the schedule to pick this week than this one. Two teams coming off of tough losses. Jason Garrett needs to get his head out of his ass and start coaching. If the Giants lose this game (and they've lost 4 straight, so the odds aren't great), they may be out of the playoffs completely. Somehow or another, the Cowgirls always find a way to fuck things up. Giants by 3.

St. Louis at Seattle - Who the fuck would EVER make this a primetime game to be showcased on Monday Night Football? I get putting the woeful Colts into some of these games, because when the schedule was made, nobody knew that Manning would be out for the season. There is no such logical explanation for exploiting fans into watching this clusterfuck of a game. I still can't believe this game is on MNF. Seattle by 7.

Kansas City at NY Jets - The Jets may have an opportunity to sneak into the playoffs as a 6th seed if Cincy and Houston run out of gas. Jets by 13.

Tampa Bay at Jacksonville - Jacksonville's defense is hitting the wall without the offense producing and S.D trotted all over them because of it. Gabbert is probably the worst rook this season at QB, showing no improvements. Bucs by 10.

New England at Washington - Could be a trap game for N.E. Traveling to Washington going up against a mediocre team that shows up once in awhile. Still, Brady and the Pats are looking for the number 1 seed in the playoffs and can't blink against the 'skins. Patriots by 16.

Atlanta at Carolina - Disappointing showing last week for Atlanta. It was their time to step up in the South and make a mark on the road against a team lacking a QB. They need to rebound quick to have a chance at an NFC Wildcard and it won't be easy against Caroline and Cam Newtwon. Falcons by 7.

Indianapolis at Baltimore - Indianapolis is just terrible and Baltimore's the toughest team in the league to beat at home. No way is there any kind of upset. Ravens by 14.

Philadelphia at Miami - Philadelphia needs some kind of insurance today for Any Reid. They NEED a win today for the sake of their already insane fanbase. Miami is putting on one helluva threat to teams for the 2012 season and are playing like a playoff contender. Still, the Eagles need to snag a victory for everyone in Philly's sake. Eagles by 10.

Minnesota at Detroit - Minnesota may be the worst team in the league. They bit me in the ass multiple times this season on my poll and if they can't even win at home, no way they go into Detroit and make any kind of noise. Lions by 20.

New Orleans at Tennessee - This could be an intriguing matchup. The Titans are neck and neck with the Texans for the South and can't afford to lose any more for a tight AFC race. The Saints are showing to be THEE team to handle Green Bay if need-be in the NFC. Saints by 13.

Houston at Cincinnati - After getting destroyed by Pittsburgh, we'll see how Cincy responds to a beatdown, something they never got this season yet. We'll see how T.J Yates performs in desperation time against a desperate football team coming off of a major loss within their division. Houston is going to drop one sooner or later. Bengals by 3.

Chicago at Denver - The Chicago Bears defense is pretty upset and embarrassed about being the team to allow a Chiefs touchdown, on a HAIL MARRY before half that ultimately beat them. Tebow is playing better but I believe Chicago is the defense to finally give him fits and make him make mistakes. Bears by 7.

San Francisco at Arizona - Arizona is all of a sudden a spoiler team but San Fran's defense will be all over the place. They always say, defense wins championships and it's NEEDED in the NFC because noone really has it other than Chicago and San Fran. 49'ers by 10.

Buffalo at San Diego - San Diego is still a team that could play well and finish strong. They got momentum against Jacksonville last week and aim to build off of that in a disappointing season. Who knows, they can still even win the West. Chargers by 14.

Oakland at Green Bay - The Raiders will give the Packers a potential upset bid but the X-factor is Lambeau Field. The Raiders are capable but again, it's very hard to go against the Packers until they show a slight of weakness from their Q.B. Even last week they overcame a strong Giants attack. Packers by 16.

NY Giants at Dallas - I don't think Dallas is a good overall team whatsoever. Eli still has all the tools to beat Dallas and their defense over Romo outperforming him against the Giants D. I like the Giants to win the division eventually and it starts by beating Dallas. Giants by 8.

St. Louis at Seattle - This game is terrible. Whoever made these premier matchups this season in Prime-Time need to be shot in the face with a shotgun. Seahawks by 10.

Bogus penalty on that roughing the passer on Grossman, and(I suppose) a make-up call on Fletcher's personal foul(but that was bogus as well). And NOTHING called on that H2H on Gronk....again with the selective officiating....

This just in: NE's 2ndary sucks.

Pacman Jones allegedly spit on Lawrence Vickers during a scuffle for a loose ball/subsequent pile-up. Stay classy Pacman you fuckin thug. Vickers is an all-class guy and I miss him/his run blocking in Cleveland. Definitely believe Pacman spit on him.
