I hear Ghost Protocol is great.

Terrific, particularly for its genre. Cruise is criminally underrated anymore, thanks to his off-screen antics.

yea, by far the best of the MI series, and probably one of the best action films I've seen in the last couple of years. It's worth it for the Dubai sequence alone. Haven't seen Sherlock yet--maybe tomorrow.

I also found the first version to be very dark and difficult to see half the movie. I'll probably wait for it to come to pay-per-view to watch it.
I'm off work tomorrow so my husband & I are going to see "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". The books were terrific and the characters very compelling. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I'll give my review tomorrow.

Seen the swedish version of this. I would have a hard time seeing the american version. The swedish version was perfectly cast, and it was shot entirely in sweden. Plus I think Daniel Craig is one over rated actor. He needs to let Bond go also, totally destroyed the image. As far as Sherlock Holmes 2, haven't seen it and probably won't. The first one bored me to a near death experience and it won't happen again. Looking forward to Ghost Protocol, Tom Cruise is still one of the best in the business imo.

Just saw the movie this afternoon. I thought it was excellent. It was very faithful to the book, and the opening credits using Trent Reznor's version of Led Zepplin's "Immigrant Song" was musically and visually stunning. Almost worth the price of admission alone. Rooney Mara is riveting as Lizbeth Salander. Most of the movie was filmed on location in Sweden. Having seen Daniel Craig in action roles like James Bond and Cowboys and Aliens, I wasn't sure how he'd do in the role of Mikael Blomqvist. I thought he gave a good performance, but Ms. Mara is the real star of this film. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

Did you see the Swedish version? If not, The girl who was cast a Salander in that one was perfection. They also made "The girl who played with fire". Check it out.
