Why?

I don't believe that at all. Got to hear it first.

Why so defensive Andrew? Jeesh!  Sorry I couldn't jump right back in here to respond, but I've worked 25 hours in the last 2 days. I was just messing with you. honestly, I'm sure I'm not far off though. You scored WET a perfect 100. I'm a huge fan of Robert's and we have worked together in the past. I LOVE WOA and he's a great guy. With that being said, I listened to the album (after your recommendation) and have never listened to it again. Music is all in how you interpret it, so there is no right or wrong. It's subjective. To me, that album had zero pieces to the puzzle that called me back for a second listen. I know many people loved it, but I just didn't get it. It sounded like more generic tunes from Frontiers Records, and I just didn't get that score at all.

You gave Winger's last album a 95%, and I love the HELL out of it. It's not my favorite, but to stand it up next to WET... I don't think there's a comparison. Van Halen only deserve a 90% for their last album, and it's all I've listened to since the day I bought it. It's not perfect, and to my ears there are 3 fillers on the album. I'm not exaggerating... it has not left my cd player in 2 weeks! And it's not perfect. Now to compare that to WET??? No comparison IMHO! To my ears, WET deserves maybe an 80%. Again, just my opinion and ears.

Again, I was just messing with you, but since you asked, that's my opinion on the matter.

Couldn't disagree more. LOL sorry, not that ya asked Jimbo, but I'll throw my opinion up too. WET definitely deserves a better rating than the new Van Halen IMHO. But ya know I'm all about the pipes......I've heard Tattoo a couple times and sheesh, besides the music (which I've always liked that VH sound) I think the song and vocals suck. Dave's never been the best vocalist, but I just can't listen to his pipes any more, and the song to me just goes nowhere. And the over and over 2-cyllable "Ta-ttoo Ta-ttoo" in the course drives me nuts. So unless Dave sounds MUCH better on the other tracks I have no interest in hearing the rest. Entertaining frontman, but it takes more than that to keep my attention. I prefer the Hagar VH by a mile........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9giNNneF ... re=related

He's singing in a way lower register than the time with Journey. He'd have never survived that catalog. Definitely not "tenor". That said, this sounds good and is his own style.

WET is one of my favorite albums. I haven't stopped playing it yet and it virtually never gets old for my taste. I hope Damage Control is as catchy as WET. If so, another success for JSS. Judging by the demo's, it's right up my alley. I'm sure I'll love it.

You need to revisit WET . Its one of the best albums Ive ever heard. I liked it at first but just like you I thought it was generic sounding, listened to it here and there. Playing once song or two in the car. But one day I decided to sit down and listen through the whole thing. Its got maybe 2 songs that arent as strong as the rest but it is a killer.

Jeff Scott Soto, 'Look Inside Your Heart' Video: Melodic Rock Giant Returns -- Exclusive Premiere

Posted on Feb 23rd 2012 10:00AM by Carlos Ramirez

Watch Jeff Scott Soto's 'Look Into Your Heart' Video

With a resume that includes stints in Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, Journey, Soul SirkUS, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and countless session appearances, Jeff Scott Soto is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after vocalists in hard rock for the past three decades.

As busy as Soto is, the Brooklyn, N.Y. native still found time to record 'Damage Control,' his latest solo album. The record was tracked in the fall of 2011 and features guest appearances by Jamie Borger and Nalle Påhlsson (Treat), Casey Grillo (Kamelot), and Dave Meniketti, founding member of Y&T.

In this Noisecreep exclusive, we proudly bring you the video premiere of 'Look Inside Your Heart,' the first single from the 'Damage Control.' The song features Soto collaborating with Night Ranger guitarist Joel Hoekstra, who can also be seen in the video.

"We shot the video while I was out on tour with Trans-Siberian Orchestra," Soto tells Noisecreep from a studio in Europe where he's currently recording the highly-anticipated sophomore album from W.E.T., the AOR supergroup that also features Erik Martensson and Robert Säll. "I had originally wanted to do something in the vein of the movie 'The Sixth Sense,' but then someone told me Nickelback had already done that in one of their videos [2011's 'Someday'].We were on a shoestring budget, so we had to scramble and figure stuff out. It was a nightmare at one point, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Look, we know it's not going to be all over MTV or anything, so we filmed the video more as a bonus for fans that want to buy the album on CD," says Soto of the 'Look Inside Your Heart' video.

For you melodic rock trivia geeks out there, the actress in the video is Soto's real-life girlfriend, Elena.
