No one wants to do the hard yards anymore, and in a way they are right to think that, as there is no reward at the end like there used to be.
Yeah, record companies don't let artists develop like years ago. Some of the greatest bands ever to make music would never achieve success in todays musical climate.
All record companies care about now is their bottom line, they want to get the music out there as quickly as possible and for the least amount of money. Thanks to Auto-tune, record labels don't have to spend the time and money developing an artist and giving them the vocal training they need. Auto-tune can take care of that almost instantly and for a fraction of the cost.
