Just to be fair, according to Herbie, Steve wanted to quit after the Escape tour. I'm not sure anything Neal said made that happen, although it might have made it easier. It was also mentioned that it was absolutely Perry's insistence that Valory and Smith be replaced for ROR.

Link? Proof? Sounds like bad judgement on Arnel's part. But hey, Neal is loaded so it makes sense.

Ross Valory was replaced in 1985-1986 because he had ongoing court dates and could not be on tour....He wanted to fly around and be a part time bassist....NOT ACCEPTABLE ON TOUR....So, Randy Jackson was asked to fill in on studio time and Neal asked him to tour...Richard marx also was considered for Jonathan cains part because of foolish turmoil at that time.

In fact all the members have said directly, or in so many words, that the band will last as long as Arnel does and when he's done, so are they. I'd hate to have people read too much into this. I wish Arnel a speedy recovery.

Amen, brother. I join you in wishing Arnel well. And can we all please stop asking for more Deen songs to carry the band on? A drummer singing lead is just silly. Ask Phil Collins.

Neal attended the christening of Arnel's recent kid and was apparently named a godfather, not to mention at least two trips to Manila to spend time w/ Arnel or for a charity Arnel supported. The general affection they publicly display for each other (praise, hugs, fist-bumps) far exceeds anything I've ever seen Neal give to Perry, let alone poor Augeri, whom Neal seemed to never acknowledge on stage.
Journey may be a business and this all may be calculated posturing for the sake of Neal's controversial public image, but it's more than the previous singers can say.

But until then, the question shall remain- WWYBYWB?
Based on your pick--I'm guessing you work at walmart---Guess what?---Im not one of your minimum wage employees---Talk with respect or go away !!
You seem to think I'm full of shit, however the ROR DVD/CD is in the works, I would give you a date, but after seeing how hateful some of you are , it can wait...
You have me confused with another poster, I'VE NEVER POSTED ON VH-1 EVER !!!...in fact this is the only site I've done any posting on, so brand me with your bullshit, it don't matter to me one bit, but know this, in time you will know who I am...enough said...
I think Arnel did a wonderful job....I know there are alot of people out there not liking Arnel.....I think he has overcome many obsticles in life and in music itself, and thats something I can relate too....I like him for just being the musician he is, and never giving up......he can sing anything he wants.......His youtube clips of other singers are impressive.
Neal Schon recently made a comment to the LA times editor that he's glad to hear Steve Perry is recording again, Steve will be on uncle joe's (benson) show ...sometime in october or november to talk about this new farewell album (studio album) ...he's talking about featuring the strange medicine group once again...HOWEVER this is a farewell album & no major tour will follow.
It has been talked about behind closed doors, Steve Perry is arranging a 10 city tour sometime next march or april. in Los Angeles,Ca and ending in New York, Ny...stay tuned...
Last I heard you were bobbing for fish, but I guess your girl/guy friend douched huh?... you still are a prick and a piece of shit as far as i'm concerened... your words from the past carry on ...
** Its a Poll You fucking prick....If you dont like it go to barry manilows site.....gosh oh mighty !!........This is a trick poll.....because I will tell you all the answer against many people's wishes very soon !!!
Everything is being discussed in certain circles right now, as you know things like this don't just happen in one day,
It will be announced in a few months officially through Fanasylum.com when the details get worked out.
Think again!... Steve Perry still controls alot of the Journey movement...What keys does Neal have?... Maybe his house keys and the keys to a whore's heart... She owns his wallet like all the others in the past.. Soon Neal will ENCOUNTER what Ross went through in the late 80's early 90's...BANKRUPTCY.......You guys crack me up !!
I'm in good hands then... we have people here that can predict the future, how much do you charge?...I'm willing to pay big bucks for helping me understand what I was thinking when I thought you guys were Journey Fans... Do you travel to LA ?
I think thats a pretty bold comment considering you have nothing to do with the writting credits of this song, and no singing rights at all...Youtube will probably be pulling the plug on you in the near future...(are you having an identity crises Jeremey?)... Become yourself, not someone else !!
I log into youtube and all I see under Steve Perry is you and your band...Thats coming to an end real soon !!...list it under Jeremey Hunsicker if you are so proud of yourself... leave the name Steve Perry alone.
LMAO-------Thats funny shit--------Ever thought about moving to vegas and being apart of the "LEGENDS" tribute act that shows nightly in vegas?.......Its my understanding they dont have a Journey Tribute Band.......After what I read thats all that you do, along with a sideshow of your own material
The fans should expect the Houston 81 DVD (Houston Summit) and Raised on Radio 86 DVD (Angels Camp), as well as the latest evolution of this never ending band at (Arrowfest 2003) DVD in mid November, all sides plans to distribute the past and the present in this order ... The "kinks" and "disagreements" were settled in late January 2005...
Time for the past and present to collide with the ongoing fans of Journey !!!
I don't want to start a war with my answers, but if some of you are looking for a "clear answer" I can shed some light on the (soap-opera era) between the band and Steve Perry...
If you have questions PM me...
...ok if it's him, I have questions for him only the band would know answers too, so PM me...
