Everything you complained about...is everything I complained about.

The movie is one big clusterfuck of a letdown. And the reason for that is Shane Black. He's RDJ's and Favreau's buddy. That's how he got the gig. It was only his second directing gig ever. They also let the bonehead write it. So he basically makes an unofficial sequel to his other movie and injects all kinds of stupid into the flick. The movie has all kinds of defenders that think it's witty, entertaining, humorous, blah, blah, blah. It is STUPID. Yes, Jarvis should have told Tony "the choppers are coming." Yes, the arsenal of suits should have dispatched the choppers and made it back in time for a wash & wax. Yes, somebody/anybody from SHIELD should have picked Tony's ass up so he wouldn't have to use some kid's mom's garage. The trailer built up this movie like it was going to be the shit, and it turned out to just be shit. Everything Shane Black did was wrong. The guy is a joke. The movie made a gazillion dollars because it's the first post-Avengers movie, not necessarily because it's the third Iron Man film. It should really be called Stark's Blues.

RDJ went to bat for his buddy Shane and also has a producing credit, along with his wife. If anything, Iron Man 3 is also a reflection of Downey Jr. and his vision of the character. I think it may be time for a reboot.

Tony Stark is a reflection of RDJ.

Iron Man 3, the film, is what it is because of Shane Black, i.e. an unofficial sequel to Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang.

Not quite yet. RDJ-Stark is going to be in Avengers 2: The Age Of Ultron & Avengers 3: The Infinity Gauntlet.

Just kidding about A3. Purely speculation. :)

Jaimie Alexander On SUPERMAN/BATMAN; May Hint At WONDER WOMAN
Last night the Thor: The Dark World actress caused quite a stir when she revealed that she's had meetings with WB, and knows a bit about the story of Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel sequel. Now in a follow up interview, Alexander is quizzed a bit more about this.

Ok. But who got Shane the job? It was RDJ. Iron 3 is a horrible sequel on so many levels. Lame fire breathing villains, annoying "hip" child sidekick...just awful.

RDJ and Jon Favreau and Shane Black are all buds. No denying it. And it sucks so many people actually like the movie.

They went to see it because (IMO) it was the first new Marvel film that came out after the AWESOME AVENGERS movie and had high hopes that it would be along the lines of it like I did. Like being kicked in the nuts, this was the biggest letdown of a movie that I was looking forward to see in my life! Who the fuck wants to see an Iron Man with anxiety attacks and night sweats? Where was Shield with their high tech gadgets aiding Tony Stark? Or wait, imagine this, Iron Man with a workable suit ready to go, whatttttttt, to far fetched? Shane Black should NOT be let behind the lens of a movie camera to film a kid riding a merry go round, let alone a fucking film. I'm glad I don't associate myself with what the GA, as a whole, decides what will
be a hit. Marvel is so damn generic, tiring and overrated. All of it. IM was awesome, but IM2-3, Cap and Thor didn't do anything for me. I'm hearing Thor 2 is a try hard at laughter. Just turn into a comedy act already for Christ sake

You're hearing bad things about The Dark World? That at least has villains (Malekith and I presume Kurse) I want to see. The first Thor was the weakest of the Marvel Studios startup films. Nearly every Marvel movie suffers from a lame third act/finale, which is why I feel they tried to up the ante with IM3's final battle. When you actually look forward to seeing Agent Phil Coulson instead of the main character, that's a problem.

Any first time movie that introduces characters like Marvel, has to give a back story on how they came to be, which slows down the action. THOR has a LOT of backstory, more so than most. He has the Earthling's and the Godling's to deal with and more worlds and villians than most. Captain America the same way, introduction to the character, action at the end of movie. I have a feeling their will be more action in the next movies for both or the franchise is doom to fail and not have a third film, unless we 3 write the fucking script! 8)

Olga Kurylenko, huh? Interesting. I like Jaimie better, but I won't complain if we at least GET a Wonder Woman, and Olga plays her. The article says she's doing a screen test.

And, yes, she IS hot.

Yeah, marvel is so "generic, tiring and overrated." That DC is trying to get in on the gravy train. So much so that they're cramming all this Superman vs. Batman with a side of WW. You yourself has said, DC can't afford to do it the right way like Marvel did. You're just pissed cuz MOS has had a weaker return on investment than just about every Marvel movie. I've heard more negative opinions of MOS than any other superhero movie since Superman Returns. Dude's just not an interesting character. Just a matter of fact.

Negative feedback for MoS was usually focused on the change in the costume and (especially) the neck-snap. Anyone who complained about the destruction of the city "conveniently" forgot or excused the destruction in Avengers.

Defensive much? I cringe when rumors surface on DC doing things the "Marvel-way." CRINGE. I'm not pissed at all, dude. I fuckin LOVED MOS. Saw it 6 times in theaters and going back for more with collectors editions Nov.12th. Can't wait. When I say tired, generic and overrated, I basically mean their core element of how they portray their filimg style's and messages. It's too light-hearted for me and way too much humor for my liking. TDK trilogy and MOS is my cup of tea. Intense, realistic and to the point. I don't want to belly-laugh when it comes to superhero movies. Nothing wrong with getting in on the "gravy train." That was a givin and what WB was trying to do with setting up their own cinematic universe. Personally, I just don't connect with Marvel characters while DC has a boatloat of characters in the waiting that I'm salivating at and don't like Marvel's more playful direction.

Just a matter of fact.

Director, Kennth Branagh, left the sequel, saying that the script wasn't ready and it was being rushed into production. A pretty common occurrence in Hollywood, but could indicate a weak film...

My theater clapped at the end of every showing of mine, which was six times, 2 different movie theaters. I went with the same people I went to see it with the first time twice, so it's just a matter of if the subtle messages that were there either hit you or not. Some did in a big way, some didn't.

I liked that approach and the movie felt different than any other superhero I saw to date and that's why I really, really enjoyed it. It was different with the type of action that a Superman movie should have.

The numbers are fun to look at in the first few months, but that wears off quick and is only debated through the hardcore fanbase's that want to see who's dick could be bigger. At the end of the day, for a rebooted franchise and givin' Supe's track record, MOS hit its mark in a positive way.

The validation that I have is A.) I loved it. B.) It was the Superman movie I was waiting to see practically my whole life and C.) Unlike Superman Returns, the entire cast is returning, the story is continuing in Supe's world and we are FINALLY getting Superman/Batman, something WB has been trying to lift off the roots since the early 2000's and a DC Universe that is going to be so different than Marvel's from classic characters that never seen the big screen before. It's a damn good time to be a Superman/Batman/DC fan. It's only just begun.

If YoungJRNY saw the same movie six times in one weekend, then he has a bigger problem than just exaggerating the truth. Even if it was opening weekend, I don't buy it. The film is simply not a crowd pleaser.

A crowd-pleaser on the level of a generic play-it-safe Star Wars movie? No.

Do a lot of people like the movie? Yes.

Did people clap in the theater when I saw it? Yup.

It really doesn't matter if you believe me or not.. When there are chatters of clapping hands occurring, that's called an applause  Correction, though. People clapped 5 times (went to a drive-though one of those 6 times.)

I didn't see it 6 times on opening weekend. My viewings are spanned out. I saw it twice opening weekend (the early Wal-Mart showing for people who bought the private screening and then the midnight showing.)

That following Monday night my oldest bro and his crew wanted me to go to the drive-through; my buddy came home from school wanted to see it; again on Fathers Day weekend with a handful who wanted to see MOS twice; and the last showing on 4th of July weekend with my parents. Think 6 times is crazy? Most Bat-friends I know saw TDK up to 16 times haha. Like I said, I've waited for this version of Superman for a long, long time. Now time for the Blu-Ray. :!:
