Has anybody seen this before? This is amazingly brilliant and intelligent and the author of this 'thesis' is dead on. I have a Man of Steel hardcover "The Legendary World of Superman" and Zack Snyder touch's upon many of these themes, especially the "birthing aspect of Superman in Man of Steel."

Head over to Youtube and check out my great friends fanmade videos. Adeel Malik. IMHO, the best fanmade creator on Youtube! He puts a lot of heart into his projects and has the tone of his world down perfectly.

His Batman V Superman teaser is up!

DC animated films are really hit and miss for me, and I've never watched a single one that really, really hit a home run in my opinion... except for this one. WELL worth the watch. Very faithful to the source material as far as screen adaptations go. I rented it via streaming, then bought the DVD version that combined parts 1 & 2 as soon as it hit the shelves. Let me know what you think.

I've had TDKR by Frank Miller in my hands for a long time. Never read it (as a Supes fan and hearing Supes fan gag over it, I'm reluctant) but I'm waiting for the perfect time to open it and read it from cover to cover. I know as an overall piece of industry writing, you won't get a better graphic novel out there but I've heard great things about the animated version. Once I'm done reading the contents, I'll buy the animation for sure.

This weekend is a great time to start reading it. You won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed it, Rip. I think some of the voice casting was a little off (Peter Weller as Batman, especially), but I thought it was dark, gritty, and epic - just the way Batman should be. Animation was the obviously the route to go, as parts of TDKR wouldn't have translated to live action (like Batman in the old lady disguise, or Reagan as President). Cool movie. Last DC animated flick I took a look at was Superman Doomsday. This was better.

I agree about Weller. Man, seems in the animated world, anyone except for Kevin Conroy just doesn't sound right. I'm not a guy who thinks it HAS to be Conroy by any means. Still, comparing any newcomer to that classic voice is involuntary.

Oprah in the lead for Amanda Waller. I would say that I fell right in love with that idea. Oprah is actually one helluva actress. I'd take her in a heartbeat.

TDKSA was hugely disappointing (the art sucked), but this could be awesome.

And if they're lining up guys like Capullo and Kubert (and even Lee) to draw it, even better.

I didn't realize FM was ill, though. I'll have to look this up.

Guillermo Del Toro: ‘Justice League Dark’ is Part of DC’s Shared Movie Universe

http://screenrant.com/justice-league-dark-movie-dc-shared-universe/

One thing the writer includes in his article:

To that end, it’s unlikely we’ll soon (or ever) see Swamp Thing teaming-up with Batman; yet, that doesn’t mean that Dark Universe‘s Zatanna, for example, couldn’t enjoy a run-in with the Caped Crusader at some point.

In Alan Moore's acclaimed run on Swamp Thing, he did cross paths with Batman (not in a friendly way), and if they ever put that particular story onscreen (it would have to be a sequel, not an initial), that would be fooking amazing! Moore's writing on SW was solid gold.

Frank hasn't commented on it. But anyone who saw photos of him at the Sin City 2 premiere can tell he looks very frail.

BvS down to the last days of shooting. Henry Cavill, Amy Adams spotted in New Mexico. Ben Affleck said to fly in under the radar. They are done shooting and there are practically only a few set pics revealed. No leaked photos of Batfleck or Gadot in costume on the set. Snyder somehow pulled off a daunting task and kept his ninja's on high alert. Not sure how he pulled off being more secrective than Nolan with his sets. Kudos to Zack Snyder and company Image

An insiders words on production:

As I watch this thread, I find it difficult not to chime in more often with information I know to be true, pictures, correcting speculation I know is wrong, etc. However, the speculation is half the fun and running with ideas leads to more anticipation for the film. Anything I could provide or share would only be filled with spoilers, I envy the majority that don't know what I do.

It amazes me how much has been able to stay under wraps and how most theories are quite subjective.

Everyone is really in for a treat with this one.

The teaser should be coming soon, along with plot details. Maybe more casting announcements depending and then we may go on the long drought throughout next year until SDCC. In the meantime, I hope Snyder throws us THEE bone of releasing a Trinity pic and that will keep our boners on throb-alert for the time being. It's going to be a fun ride 8)

A Schmoes Know article purported to contain spoiler-iffic news of a villain and plot details was posted a few days ago but I didn't want to look. Sometimes it's misinformation but those guys do get some good scoops here and there. I want the Trinity pic and some cool footage.

Between this movie and Suicide Squad, DC could get some serious cred back in the movie game. They're killing it on TV, for certain. The Flash/Arrow two-night crossover was good and Gotham kicked ass.

Good to see WB in awe of "PAN". They loved it so much that they have snagged screenwriter Jason Fuchs to write the screenplay for Wonder Woman.
