DC animated films are really hit and miss for me, and I've never watched a single one that really, really hit a home run in my opinion... except for this one. WELL worth the watch. Very faithful to the source material as far as screen adaptations go. I rented it via streaming, then bought the DVD version that combined parts 1 & 2 as soon as it hit the shelves. Let me know what you think.
I've had TDKR by Frank Miller in my hands for a long time. Never read it (as a Supes fan and hearing Supes fan gag over it, I'm reluctant) but I'm waiting for the perfect time to open it and read it from cover to cover. I know as an overall piece of industry writing, you won't get a better graphic novel out there but I've heard great things about the animated version. Once I'm done reading the contents, I'll buy the animation for sure.

I really enjoyed it, Rip. I think some of the voice casting was a little off (Peter Weller as Batman, especially), but I thought it was dark, gritty, and epic - just the way Batman should be. Animation was the obviously the route to go, as parts of TDKR wouldn't have translated to live action (like Batman in the old lady disguise, or Reagan as President). Cool movie. Last DC animated flick I took a look at was Superman Doomsday. This was better.
Here’s the official cast/character list:
Jared Leto – The Joker
Will Smith – Deadshot
Tom Hardy – Rick Flagg
Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn
Jai Courtney – Boomerang
Cara Delevingne – Enchantress
“Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer and produced by Charles Roven, will begin shooting next April in Toronto.
According to insiders, Jesse Eisenberg is also in talks to play Lex Luthor in the film, a role he will first play in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” though the status of his deal is unknown.

Frank Miller And Scott Snyder To Write Dark Knight 3

To that end, it’s unlikely we’ll soon (or ever) see Swamp Thing teaming-up with Batman; yet, that doesn’t mean that Dark Universe‘s Zatanna, for example, couldn’t enjoy a run-in with the Caped Crusader at some point.

I didn't realize FM was ill, though. I'll have to look this up.
As I watch this thread, I find it difficult not to chime in more often with information I know to be true, pictures, correcting speculation I know is wrong, etc. However, the speculation is half the fun and running with ideas leads to more anticipation for the film. Anything I could provide or share would only be filled with spoilers, I envy the majority that don't know what I do.
It amazes me how much has been able to stay under wraps and how most theories are quite subjective.
Everyone is really in for a treat with this one.

In the meantime, I hope Snyder throws us THEE bone of releasing a Trinity pic and that will keep our boners on throb-alert for the time being. It's going to be a fun ride
