Not exact quotes, but close enough:

"Your scientists were so preoccupied with finding out if you could do it, that they didn't stop to think if they should."
"They stood on the shoulders of those who came before them. They didn't earn the knowledge for themselves and therefore do not feel the ethics of how to use it."

-- Ian Malcom, "Jurassic Park"

"That's how it starts...'Ooooo', "Awww"...and later there's running and screaming..."

-- Ian Malcom, "Jurassic Park II - The Lost World"

Is this going to be another Independence Day where they rip off another movie in almost every scene?

"Faster...must go faster!" ID4, and Jurassic Park

And, the whole first part of that trailer reminded me of Iran Man II.

You mean I missed the first movie about the world's first Muslim superhero to make it to the big screen? And there's already a sequel?

Couldn't wait any longer. Too much chatter all over the InterWebs. I watched a good quality upload. Though Snyder's style is different, some of the footage is Nolan-esque (thanks to Fong). There's one image in particular that is striking. Several, really, but one stands out for me. The trailer doesn't really give anything away, plotwise, apart from the inevitable confrontation. This is a far more impressive trailer than the one that dropped for The Force Awakens (though the last shot with Han and Chewie is cool).

P.S. I saw that in Monday's IMAX screening, between Zack's intros, there are two different running times. The first time the trailer screens, it clocks at 2 minutes, 11 seconds. The second time it screens, it's 2 minutes, 15 seconds, so there's 4 seconds of something there that we might not get to see in the online version.

I got to hold off for that and maybe stay away from the Internet until then. I think they are handing out posters and a t-shirt for the people who go. I want my damn poster! 8)

Loving what I'm hearing on every board and forum. Sounds like a true and bullet proof Superman story; picking up immediately after Man of Steel. Everything sounds bombastic.

From what I get from it, this trailer #1 is from Batman's point of view. I bet trailer #2 will be from Superman's and #3 could be from Diana's.

Thank God this guy said no. Nothing against him, but I don't see him as being right for virtually any CBM character.

Just heard that the domestic trailer that drops on 4/20-21 may be slightly different than the leaked international trailer.

The entire "Superman is bad..." is just like the entire, "give us the suit." thing.

Which seems completely phony. Yeah, there may be movie bits that further explain that...but all of that crap and than Batman coming in playing therapist just seemed weird...the one line at the end is a bit effective, but not original. Again, in Iron Man 2, "If a God bleeds, people will lose faith in him." And, that is really what Batman is implying...which all goes back to the final scenes of 300, where the spear cuts Xerces cheek and the man-God bleeds.

I wasn't very impressed. The insulting words towards Superman were a bit over the top. Maybe for the fans of the comics, this is good and what they want. To me, it's asking me to ignore everything I 'know' about Superman and believe that world is turning on him after he just saved it from Zod...it seems like a plot that is forced.

And, this is no where close to the Star Wars trailer. Not only did it have Han and Chewie, but Luke was narrating. ties in the original trilogy with his, "the force is strong in my family..." speech and then the scene implies handing Lea a light sabre, and ties in the next generation by saying it is strong in his son. So, the SW trailer had an epic quality to it. The BvS trailer was not even close...it was about as good as the first SW trailer.

i just watched the Official trailer, not the leaked one. Im 58 years old. I know what Batman & Superman are supposed to be about. I know where they come from and what they are supposed to be. Even though it looks like its going to be a cool movie, special effects and all, it still bothers me. And maybe the whole movie isnt going to be about it. But it bothers me that they have made it at least look like that Batman & Superman are going to be enemies. :( Maybe it will only be initially, until they figure each other out? But I always thought they were on the same side. Not enemies.

Just watched it. It was okay. Luther's voice sounded really intimidating. The trailers for both SR and MOS were both better in my opinion. Hopefully this full movie will be better than those.

If you never read Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns back in the 80s, I can understand why you may find the teaser alarming, but remember it's just the first one, and the next one will likely be a bit different. What they're doing in this movie isn't World's Finest...yet.

"Epic"...LOL. Apart from seeing the old cast members again, I'm not expecting anything significant from these new movies. My expectations are in a "safe" zone. Everyone jizzed over the "panoramic" shot of the downed Imperial destroyer but the landscape looks so clean, there's no debris or outlying objects save a junked X-Wing. The shot actually reminded me of JJ's Star Trek reboot.

This is a teaser. The MoS trailer #2 was one of the best, but it was still the #2 trailer with more meat on the bone with the heroic; inspirational music playing in the background and those beats with those inspiring sequences. This is the very first footage of the teaser for the movie, they're not going to show much. Trailers #2 and #3 should be handled entirely different.

What I liked about this teaser was how they addressed Man of Steel and the reaction to that. The news podcasts and the media outlets covering Superman's actions and criticizing him reminded me of how TDKReturns graphic novel focused on media coverage. Nice touch.

This trailer is focusing on Superman and how the world views him and Superman seems uncomfortable as fuck. The next one should be from Superman's P.O.V. Larry Fong is exactly what the doctor ordered. The cinematography was lights out. Would of loved Snyder to have him for MoS.

It seems you don't know the difference between "epic" and "cinematography". Perhaps that's why you all care more about how a scene looks than why they are in that scene in the first place.

Low expectations are good...I hope most people share your opinion. It is ironic how any perceived competition for giving attention to BvS is blown off in a negative way. The truth is the how they handled this BvS trailer completely sucked and they can't go back and change that now.

As Howard Stern so often says, "PUHleez." I've seen nothing in either teaser — granted, they're teasers — yet that doesn't equate to anything more than revisiting paths heavily trodden that grew mossed over. JJ's of my generation so while I'm certain he wants to do right by the fans that grew up with the first set of movies, and were dismayed by the prequels, I hope he doesn't appropriate so much from '77-'83 that the resultant nostalgia trip outweighs the inclination to do something original and out of the box. I hope they don't play it too safe, if you get my drift.

What do you think 'epic' means? In that trailer they sum up that this is a story spanning three generations of characters...being narrated by the reigning hero of the saga. That is the very definition of epic.

Star Wars has never been about anything original. It is about applying ancient mythos stories in Flash Gordan sorta way. Lucas stole ideas from every writer over the past five thousand years...and i hope that does not change because it works.

Man of Steel was the beginning of the DCCinematic Universe and is steeped in realism and that real-world tone and grit. In that, Superman is the first hero to emerge in the spotlight and it came at the hands of an alien invasion.

The Batman you see here is an adaption off of Frank Millers The Dark Knight Returns, which was THEE comic that brought The Batman back to his brooding ways and it was the comic that propelled comic book and graphic novels into the next millennium.

In that book, Batman is full of angst, anger, cruelty and rage. He is terrifying and brutal and wants nothing more than to kill his enemies with fear. This is the definitive Batman story of this age and is the reason why that type of darkness exists with Batman at this level today.

So, taking that, imagine how THAT Batman is going to feel about an alien invasion and seeing a Kryptonian on his planet. I think he's going to be pretty pissed and wants to wipe the alien CLEAN of his existence and threat to this world and take pleasure in doing it with brutality.

Of course, Superman is painted as an misunderstood hero and it's going to take some time for the world to except him but it's going to take a few throwdowns and for cowards to show their true ugly face, like Lex Luthor, for the hero's to have an understanding, come together and fight for what's right. In this DCUniverse, we will eventually have a World's Finest. Batman V Superman is their first face to face encounter with each other EVER and things might start out a little rocky

You hear epic, I hear the wheels spinning on another cycle about a kid who thinks the Dark Side is more interesting after his mom accidentally washes his concert tees with hot water and tumble dries them on the highest setting. I don't want to see any emo shit. That's my point.
