No problem man! I can see why those not familiar with the comics can be confused. But with confusion of "Why is this happening?" brings intrigue and curiosity so hopefully the general audience gets their ass to the theater to find out why. The BvS title will be responsible for a good chunk of money alone.

I was out at Target the other night looking at superhero shirts and some lady out of nowhere comes up to me and was like "So I saw that Superman and Batman are fighting with each other. What's up with that?" and I said "Well, we're just going to have to find out huh?" so it's interesting how the general audience will take to this but make no mistake about it, there's a reason and this adaption of Batman is a fanboy's wet dream.

As for the teaser...eh, underwhelming. Most troubling is all of the dark and rainy shots. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those movies where the majority of the action is one big inky CGI blur.

Batman vs Superman has been in production since 2013. The teaser should've been all the rage. Instead, a 72 year old Harrison Ford and a wookie completely stole it's thunder. Pitiful!

No. The next logical step is Batman V Superman. The teaser starts exactly how Man of Steel left off, with people scrutinizing him as a hero/alien and living in fear; some view him as a God. It's the public's reaction, What other way to stabilize that fear than to speak through Batman who is the poster-hero of fear? It's logical.

Aquaman has a cameo in this, setting up Justice League. And Aquaman, when the time comes, is much more than that.

As for the teaser...eh, underwhelming. Most troubling is all of the dark and rainy shots.

It's from the viewpoint of Batman in Gotham City. They are standing in the Gotham scum. Rainy and gloomy are iconic with Batman and Gotham. It's what was to be expected. The shots and color look very nice actually.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those movies where the majority of the action is one big inky CGI blur.

Larry Fong is back with Snyder. BvS is going to look more like Watchmen in style cinematography. I don't see the action moving as fast as it did in MoS because Batman isn't Kryptonian like Zod was. He can't move that fast. Ironic statement since everybody hated Snyder before with his slo-mo shots  Keep on hatin' on.

Batman vs Superman has been in production since 2013. The teaser should've been all the rage. Instead, a 72 year old Harrison Ford and a wookie completely stole it's thunder. Pitiful!

That's the other way around there, Chief. The Star Wars trailer was always going to be shown. The BvS teaser LEAKED and wasn't supposed to be shown until the IMAX event, forcing WB to release it early. BvS has been everywhere dude and has over 20 million views. If anything, it dented the Star Wars hype  Keep on hatin' on.

It's not going to stop, either. One of the idiots on GMA (not that I normally watch it, it's the channel that was on when I powered up the boob tube one morning last week) was doing the same thing. One of the girls on the show proclaimed her excitement for the movie, and this other guy (don't know his name) went on and on to the tune of "It doesn't make sense! They're friends!"

Some people need to be spoon fed everything.

FACEPALM. Seriously..

..facepalm. Shocking to me all these so-called diehard know-it-all's who have seemingly jumped on the Marvel superhero bandwagon not know shit about comic books. The marketing for the Avengers and the Marvel Universe since day 1 has shown nothing but the Avengers fighting with each other and people loved it.

Batman and Superman? "They are friends! Makes no sense!" dumbass's need to watch the whole damn movie to find out. The double standards that work against DC is pitiful. Keep on hatin' on

Since Winter Soldier, Marvel has gone edgier and darker.

That first Age of Ultron teaser with Ultron "Stringggssss..STRINGSSSSSS.." was terrifying in Spaders voice. Everyone proceeded to shit their pants with excitement.

Seeing the BvS trailer released, fanboy's of Marvel has showed their true colors. It's clear the fan-war has gotten out of hand on the internet and is childish bullshit. It also tells me how huge BvS is going to be. If it's garnering THEE attention of Marvelites to troll on it then job well done DC.

If it fans the flames and gets people interested, take away their torches and supply them with flamethrowers.

One thing we have to give credit to WB for is not blowing their wad on preview material anywhere near as quickly as Marvel. I'm reading all sorts of complaints about AoU's trailers containing what many surmise are the best parts. They're giving too much away again (which is why I don't watch them). You'd think they learned their lesson after showing Hulk rescue Iron Man in the FIRST Avengers trailer. What a joke.

It gets worse. Ruffalo finally fessed up the other week and said Universal still holds the rights to the Hulk as a solo character. Don't know if/when they'll be able to adapt the Planet Hulk storyline, which is one of THE top Marvel stories they need to make a movie out of. Which leads right into World War Hulk.

This new Fantastic Four movie looks gawdawful. I'm pretending it doesn't exist but people keep bringing it up.

^Nope. I haven't watched a Marvel flick in theaters since Iron Man 2 and bailed after Thor:TDW when renting it. I know I have to watch WS. It's more in the vain of what I enjoy (more edgy, serious tones, etc).

Marvel doesn't know what to do with Hulk. He's stuck. Sad, really. I really do like Hulk. I hope they can get his rights and get his franchise up and running. I would watch the shit out of a good Hulk movie.

Many of the shots, including the graffitied Superman statue, are set at night and, for all you know, take place in Metropolis NOT Gotham. You are really just an unpaid propaganda minister for DC. Increasingly, many blockbusters have action set pieces set at night to curb CGI costs. The climactic battle in Ang Lee's Hulk comes to mind. Del Toro's Pacific Rim also suffered from this...rendering certain scenes nearly unwatchable. That is the impression I am getting from scenes in the BvS teaser.

YoungJRNYfan wrote:That's the other way around there, Chief. The Star Wars trailer was always going to be shown. Keep telling yourself that. Just like a standalone MOS sequel is happening too, right? Public reception to the BvS teaser was widely negative. After the Star Wars trailer, Disney added 2 billion to their stock value. Meanwhile, the outcome of the BvS was WHAT exactly? Besides, Amy Adams speed-dialing her agent and telling him to get her an audition for Ant-Man 2? I think it's pretty fitting that the BvS teaser starts with a Charlie Rose voiceover. The teaser was about as exciting as watching Charlie Rose drone on interviewing some obscure academic on the nuclear non-proliferation treaty between fits of adjusting his custom hemorrhoid pillow. Tho I'm sure that you and some senile greeter at Target strongly disagree.

Lmao, maybe! Yeah, people who are going to the IMAX event are getting teaser posters and maybe a shirt. Snyder called it "swag" but I fully expect to see new footage showing the Trinity and Wonder Woman FOR SURE. Only the people who are going to the IMAX event will see the extra footage. It won't be released to the public...but it probably will. You know how that goes. 8)

If people like you have to eexplain the plot then there is a huge problem.

There should have been at least a new bat man movie and maybe even another superman movie to give more backstory on these characters. They have rushed things and forced a plot that most people are going to have a tough time investing in. I don't see this thing as being huge...sucsuccessful, probably on a mos level.

I don't know the plot. None of us know the plot. The teaser for BvS didn't show us anything; plot wise. I didn't explain anything. I just said "We'll just have to wait and see" (if you can read.) It's called waiting to see it by actually watching the movie. Crazy stuff, I know but I don't know what direction they're going to take, just observations.

We know nothing of this Batman. The teaser set us up as expected; the fallout from the public's P.O.V and teasing the title at the end : Batman V Superman. It's stuff we should already know. Kudo's to WB for not showing much and everything from their FIRST footage. The movie is still a year away. We will see more as the studio cranks up marketing, but good job Image

What's the plot of The Force Awakens beyond cashing in on nostalgia?

Why is the plot of Rogue One about a "daring mission to steal the plans of the Death Star" when the plans for the first one were transmitted to Leia over a pangalactic fax line? Toldja they were playing it safe.

Monker wrote:There should have been at least a new bat man movie and maybe even another superman movie to give more backstory on these characters.

There is already a new Superman film called Man of Steel that supplies his backstory. Batman's [revised] backstory will unfold over the course of several films. It doesn't have to be by-the-numbers for Batman. Not anymore.

Superman' story and characterization will continue in BvS (public's reaction; Superman's response to criticism) Batman's re-telling will take place and set more of him up going into Justice League and DON'T FORGET, Suicide Squad (where he's rumored to be involved). The cameo's will introduce Wonder Woman and Aquaman as characters in Justice League, which will set up their solo films in 2017; 2018. Keep on hatin on

If somebody not of this Earth possessed those kinds of powers, and others of his kind showed up one day and caused the kind of havoc and destruction they did, I'd think maybe Batman and others might want to check him out and maybe snuff him out if they thought more of his distant relatives would show up. Except they don't realize (yet) he's completely, totally on the side of Earth.

And THERE is the plot for Monker and TNC. Ta-daaah!

That was just bad direction and (presumably) a shortchange in the FX department. That is literally one of the worst sequences of its kind in a post-70s or 80s movie. It should have never been filmed. When I watched that movie, I couldn't even tell it was directed by "the great" Ang Lee. It could have been anybody. The story sucked and the collective talents of Bana, Connelly, Nolte and O'Neill were wasted on that crap. Incredible Hulk is a much better film, with a proper adversary, and it was also a '"soft reboot" in which the origin was explained in very little time and nobody complained. But then, there is this whopper of a double standard when it comes to Marvel and DC.
