So, naturally, the next logical "gritty" step is adding someone who communicates telepathically with dolphins and krill, right?
As for the teaser...eh, underwhelming. Most troubling is all of the dark and rainy shots.
I have a feeling this is going to be one of those movies where the majority of the action is one big inky CGI blur.
Batman vs Superman has been in production since 2013. The teaser should've been all the rage. Instead, a 72 year old Harrison Ford and a wookie completely stole it's thunder. Pitiful!

and this other guy (don't know his name) went on and on to the tune of "It doesn't make sense! They're friends!"

I also can't wait to see Snyder's "real world" approach to the Justice League's orbiting space station HQ. Maybe warplanes will shoot down WW's invisible plane mid-flight sparking an international incident with our ally,Themyscira? This whole thing is fucking retarded.

FACEPALM. Seriously..
..facepalm. Shocking to me all these so-called diehard know-it-all's who have seemingly jumped on the Marvel superhero bandwagon not know shit about comic books. The marketing for the Avengers and the Marvel Universe since day 1 has shown nothing but the Avengers fighting with each other and people loved it.
Batman and Superman? "They are friends! Makes no sense!" dumbass's need to watch the whole damn movie to find out. The double standards that work against DC is pitiful. Keep on hatin' on

So you're cool with Marvel doing what they've been doing and stepping into The Gritty Zone with Daredevil and the forthcoming Luke Cage and AKA Jessica Jones, right?

Since Winter Soldier, Marvel has gone edgier and darker.
That first Age of Ultron teaser with Ultron "Stringggssss..STRINGSSSSSS.." was terrifying in Spaders voice. Everyone proceeded to shit their pants with excitement.
Seeing the BvS trailer released, fanboy's of Marvel has showed their true colors. It's clear the fan-war has gotten out of hand on the internet and is childish bullshit. It also tells me how huge BvS is going to be. If it's garnering THEE attention of Marvelites to troll on it then job well done DC.

They must have missed something. Maybe they thought Zack was making Superfriends.

"Batman V Superman was annoucents?! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG it's going to be so awesome! FINALLY!"
*trailer released*
"Wait, where's Adam West? They're fighting? I thought the V was a heart! MOVIE'S GOING TO SUCK!"
*Thor chokes Iron Man*
"OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG SO AWESOME! Best.movie.ever!"
Btw, did you ever watch The Winter Soldier? Great movie but they did lift an entire action sequence right out of The Dark Knight.

It gets worse. Ruffalo finally fessed up the other week and said Universal still holds the rights to the Hulk as a solo character. Don't know if/when they'll be able to adapt the Planet Hulk storyline, which is one of THE top Marvel stories they need to make a movie out of. Which leads right into World War Hulk.
This new Fantastic Four movie looks gawdawful. I'm pretending it doesn't exist but people keep bringing it up.
YoungJRNYfan wrote:It's from the viewpoint of Batman in Gotham City. They are standing in the Gotham scum. Rainy and gloomy are iconic with Batman and Gotham. It's what was to be expected. The shots and color look very nice actually.
YoungJRNYfan wrote:That's the other way around there, Chief. The Star Wars trailer was always going to be shown. The BvS teaser LEAKED and wasn't supposed to be shown until the IMAX event, forcing WB to release it early. BvS has been everywhere dude and has over 20 million views. If anything, it dented the Star Wars hypeKeep on hatin' on.

Maybe Zack will unveil the JLA/Avengers crossover.

YoungJRNYfan wrote:No problem man! I can see why those not familiar with the comics can be confused. But with confusion of "Why is this happening?" brings intrigue and curiosity so hopefully the general audience gets their ass to the theater to find out why. The BvS title will be responsible for a good chunk of money alone.
I was out at Target the other night looking at superhero shirts and some lady out of nowhere comes up to me and was like "So I saw that Superman and Batman are fighting with each other. What's up with that?" and I said "Well, we're just going to have to find out huh?" so it's interesting how the general audience will take to this but make no mistake about it, there's a reason and this adaption of Batman is a fanboy's wet dream.
If people like you have to eexplain the plot then there is a huge problem.

Monker wrote:There should have been at least a new bat man movie and maybe even another superman movie to give more backstory on these characters.

There is already a new Superman film called Man of Steel that supplies his backstory. Batman's [revised] backstory will unfold over the course of several films. It doesn't have to be by-the-numbers for Batman. Not anymore.
YoungJRNYfan wrote:If people like you have to eexplain the plot then there is a huge problem.
I don't know the plot. None of us know the plot. The teaser for BvS didn't show us anything; plot wise. I didn't explain anything. I just said "We'll just have to wait and see" (if you can read.) It's called waiting to see it by actually watching the movie. Crazy stuff, I know but I don't know what direction they're going to take, just observations.
We know nothing of this Batman. The teaser set us up as expected; the fallout from the public's P.O.V and teasing the title at the end : Batman V Superman. It's stuff we should already know. Kudo's to WB for not showing much and everything from their FIRST footage. The movie is still a year away. We will see more as the studio cranks up marketing, but good job

That was just bad direction and (presumably) a shortchange in the FX department. That is literally one of the worst sequences of its kind in a post-70s or 80s movie. It should have never been filmed. When I watched that movie, I couldn't even tell it was directed by "the great" Ang Lee. It could have been anybody. The story sucked and the collective talents of Bana, Connelly, Nolte and O'Neill were wasted on that crap. Incredible Hulk is a much better film, with a proper adversary, and it was also a '"soft reboot" in which the origin was explained in very little time and nobody complained. But then, there is this whopper of a double standard when it comes to Marvel and DC.
