Looks like Channing Tatum could be leaving Gambit and come into the DCEU as SHAZAM! If DC/WB could steal him, that would be a great casting. Tatum up against Rock's Black Adam would be BOSS. Of course, got to take it with a a grain of salt.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the Gambit movie is a no-go after the disappointing performance of Apocalypse. Fox will just fast-track Deadpool 2: Electric Boogaloo.

To be honest, it’s not as dramatic as the press is making it out to be – from what I’m seeing. And right now I’m seeing everything as more an outsider looking into this box. So from that perspective, it’s really cool that it’s not crazy, crazy dramatic. I think it’s great. Geoff Johns is super talented, super smart. Part of what got me excited about the Aquaman character is his re-envisioning of Aquaman, the character, with The New 52. And that’s super exciting. And I’m working very closely with him, and I want to work with him very closely to shape the story that I want to tell.

Lobo is one of, if not, my favorite villain. When he comes around, I automatically pick whatever comic that has his appearance. Yet, another DC character that is an ace in the hole. They just need to bust it out and get the balls rollin.

Saw Batman vs Superman again. I enjoyed it more the second time around. I think Snyder's visual aesthetic is perfect for Batman. I would actually prefer him to make a Bat solo film instead of Ben. I still think Eisenberg's go-for-broke performance ruins the movie. There's acting, method acting, and whatever the hell Eisenberg was trying to do. Like all bad movie villains, he just speechifies without ever posing any real menace. Sadly, I think an older actor with more gravitas, like Cranston, would have been able to nearly pull it off. I think both BvS and Civil War are failures because they feature villains whose plots do not convincingly pit brother against brother or Kent vs Wayne or Stark vs Rogers etc etc. The stakes are just not high enough in either film. The meta-humans stuff is still clunky. If anything, BvS should have introduced one other JL character. Learn from Marvel. It's a sprint not a marathon. Oh, and the "Martha" stuff is still laugh-inducing. The screening at the second run movie theater almost felt like a midnight showing of Rocky Horror. Me and a friend both shouted out "Why did you say that name?" at the same time. The only thing missing was throwing objects at the screen. If people throw toast at Rocky Horror screenings and spoons at showings of The Room, I should have brought my own piss-filled jar of "Granny's Peach Tea." So, in total, I was entertained this time around. Sometimes unintentionally so, but the film is not as incoherent as I first thought. I will give it a C and alot of points for trying.

Good to hear, TNC. Again, all fair criticisms especially the Eisenberg stuff. He's just one of those actors that will totally make or break a movie. I bought him only because I liked this take on Lex. There were some wincing parts to his performances, but I also saw some great things he done with the character. The acting with Senator Finch in his dad's office was top notch and something that hit for me with Jesse, but there were parts he tried too much, but I like his ambition. Next time around, hopefully he's more sinister than goofy and awkward. He can improve.

Still love the Martha scene. I think that gets way too much flack from those who can't understand that comic book connection. Maybe I liked it more because of my relationship with my own mom when she came down with breast cancer, so that hit me in the chest.

That said, v and I have been saying since Man of Steel that Snyder's movies, especially his take on Superman and now Batman, are meant for multiple viewings. I already see people slowing down on CW, but BvS is still being talked about at length. It just sticks to the conversational bones more.

Are you going to be checking out the UC, TNC? If you were entertained your second time, I suggest giving the UC a green light.

I look forward to the extended cut. It may give the movie more room to breathe. I just hope it's not an additional 30 minutes of Costner's ghost talking about horse drowning!

If it is, he'll have to be naked, since it's rated R.

Maybe you'll get an extended bathtub scene.

More exposition for Africa, more warehouse action, more Clark Kent (which people are practically screamin' for), a little more footage in the Doomsday battle, and more. Can't fucking wait.

Glad Wan's now getting his due. From Saw 1 to Dead Silence to Death Sentence, this guy has been very under-appreciated. I think Aquaman is going to blow people away.

The Conjuring was killer, even if it's a heavily fictionalized and/or exaggerated version of the events (who cares, right?).

Will definitely take in TC2 sometime this weekend or next week.

'Suicide Squad' to Get Major Push at Comic-Con

Cast appearances, fan contests and a Hard Rock Hotel takeover are on tap for the July event.

DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures are going to be pushing Suicide Squad hard at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, with the announcement Thursday that the movie will have a "major presence" at the annual pop culture saturnalia, including appearances by the cast and a fan-friendly re-creation of the movie's onscreen prison.

While details of who will be part of Warner Bros.' Hall H presentation remain under wraps, DC Entertainment has revealed that the cast will also take part in a special taping of Conan O'Brien's TBS show on Saturday, July 23, to be broadcast later that evening, as well as make an appearance at the DC Entertainment booth on the convention floor that day to sign for fans.

Additionally, part of the Hard Rock Hotel in the city's Gaslamp Quarter will be transformed into the Belle Reve Penitentiary, the fictional prison that houses the supervillains who make up the Squad, featuring another Harley Quinn tattoo parlor (The first appeared at the SXSW festival in March) and a virtual reality experience that allows fans to fight alongside the Squad themselves in a scene from the movie.

DC also launched a fan contest called Squad Up! Thursday that invites fans to create cosplay based on the movie's protagonists, with 11 different winners — one for each member of the team, as well as the Joker — being given an all-expenses-paid trip to Comic-Con next month.

San Diego Comic-Con runs July 21-24, with the traditional Preview Night on July 20, at the San Diego Convention Center. Suicide Squad is released Aug. 5.

Saw 1 still ranks as one of the best theater experiences I've ever witnessed as far as experience goes. I was floored out of my mind the entire time and the ending was one of the most satisfying shockers that I can remember. Just a whirlwind of a theater experience in one of those intensily good ways.

TC2 is crushin' it. #1 this weekend. 40 million budget (plus marketing), and it's made 90 million worldwide already. I guess from here on out they're just counting the $tack$.

Give it up dood. It's things that were reported on months ago. It was a few "shakeups" here and there, like Geoff John's and Affleck landing key roles as Executive Producer's and some other names being shuffled, but still attached. It's good to listen to the negativity, shuffle up where things fell short and move on. Even James Waan said things barely changed and the internet made the lateral moves bigger than what actually was. Shocking!

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/75510

There’s no “Part One” in the logo Ben Affleck tweeted because Warner Bros. has apparently scrapped “Part Two” -- despite the fact that Warner Bros. still has “Justice League Part Two” slated for June 14, 2019.

“We were only ever planning and we are only doing just 'Justice League.' One movie,” “Justice League” producer Deb Snyder told this weekend’s assemblage of nerd press.

“So no two parts?” somebody asked.

“No,” replied Snyder.

HowbutWHAT?

So why does a “Part One” and a “Part Two” still occupy the Warner Bros. release calendar? And why have they been on that slate so long if the Snyders have only “ever” been planning one?

Does this mean Deb’s husband Zack is exiting the franchise following “Man of Steel,” “Batman V Superman” and “Justice League”?

Stay tuned
.
