Where do you think that they would be today if he had been able to tour 20 years ago? Would they still be on the road now? Dumped Perry after the TBF tour and kept going? Toured every four years or so to bring in some cash and keep their name out there? Put out new music? So many possibilities.

Perry was 1 of 5 votes + 1 . If they didn't have the balls to stand up then
and say no, I see the blame on many shoulders, not just one.

Who even knows what the truth is. I heard Ross was in rehab at one point and needed to go.

Let me guess - Cain was spiritually directed to fire Smitty/Ross by a burning bush?
Did Perry even finish his FTLOSM tour?

He was never going to tour with them because he couldn't have done it vocal wise. It's not hard to hear the damage to his voice on the TBF album. A lot of technical tricks were probably used to produce that album. That's just my opinion; there's nothing I know other than my own conclusions on what probably happened during the TBF period. He did a good thing for them, and that should make up for any past transgressions that many fans and probably some band members think, know, or feel he had done to harm Journey. Journey has been touring strong every since without him. I think he did what he could to make it right with them and went home to live his life in peace. These are just my opinions and nothing more.
LOL... No! I don't think the hip injury was just a big lie, but I like my, noble sacrifice, conspiracy theory better. Merriam-Webster: Theory: an idea or set of ideas that is intended to explain facts or events. an idea that is suggested or presented as possibly true but is not known or proven to be true.JourneyLFN wrote:annpea wrote:I think Perry's job with the TBF deal was to get them out of cold storage, and they were on their own after that, and the pay off was ten years control of the catalog. So, the story behind the hip injury was just a big lie?

Fake news. Bare Naked Ladies booted their frontman for drugs. They have been consistently touring and recording. No break up.

I guess I missed that Journey tour in 1994 in Detroit![]()
But SP showed up at the FOX theater there in Detroit in 1994 for FTLOSM .![]()

I wonder what Perry's expectations were for turnout on FTLOSM. To go from arenas and stadiums the last time he toured with Journey to much more intimate halls was certainly different. He would have known what size the potential audiences were based on where they were scheduled. I don't recall, were the FTLOSM shows sellouts? It seems like that would be a shock to go from arenas to not selling out concert halls, if that was the case.

LOL I messed that one up! But it did feel like a Journey show. He should have done more solo material, but I guess the fans wanted to hear Journey even back then.
