Not too shabby today. The miracle man has f***ed everything up again.
My bro requested that I format the hard drive to his music computer. The original drive had been running on a FAT16 format all this time, and wanted me to utilize the entire hard drive with a FAT32 format. He said he backed the entire band project up, and that I could proceed.
Well, I formatted, reinstalled Windows, and put in all the drivers and software...but only one problem...when we tried to access our music files, they weren't there! Come to find out, Cakewalk saves the audio files on a completely different part of the hard drive...a part that my bro didn't back up at all.
So to make a long story short, I single-handedly wiped out all the work we've done on the music project up to this point.
I followed his instructions, gave him several chances and warnings to back up files, but when it was all said and done, we're back to square one. Thanks for blaming me again for your mishaps, bro.
I'm sure he'll never let me touch any of his computers ever again.
